Inspiring Creativity in Child

July 25, 2023 by StrawberrY Gal

Since its inception in 2014, <The World of Tim Burton> has traveled to cities such as South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Shanghai and other countries. As the 12th and final stop in Asia, Malaysia is the only stop for Southeast Asia hosting this extraordinary exhibition. The showcase will conclude on the 30th of this month, urging ticket holders to seize the opportunity and visit this rare exhibition.

In line with the principle of giving back to society, the organizer and presenter, Toybox Projects, has invited children from orphanages, refugee centers to attend the pop-up museum. It is hoped that through the appreciation of the internationally acclaimed film director and artist Tim Burton’s works, these children will be inspired in their own creative endeavors. Furthermore, special discounts and packages are offered to student groups only at RM34 per student (50% of the original student price of RM68), aiming to alleviate their financial burden and ignite their passion for creation. Interested charitable organizations and students can contact [email protected] for further information.

The Pop-up Museum features over 500 original artworks by Tim Burton, a contemporary American artist and film director, including sketches, painting, puppets, sculptures, animations, and more. Among them are character sculptures from several of his popular films, such as <Edward Scissorhands>, <Alice in Wonderland>, <Corpse Bride>, <Charlie and the Chocolate Factory>, <Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas>, <Beetlejuice> and the recent hit series <Wednesday>. This pop-up museum showcases the works of an internationally renowned film director and artist, making it indeed a very rare and exciting event in Malaysia. Art and movie enthusiasts are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity and visit, but it can also be enjoyed by family and friends as an alternative choice of entertainment and attraction. The pop-up museum is baby and wheelchair friendly.

Moreover, a wide range of exclusive merchandise is available at the pop-up museum. Many items are limited-edition and exclusive to Malaysia, including a special keychain featuring Tim Burton’s original character (limited to 300 pieces worldwide), as well as limited-edition Special Drawing poster, postcard, coaster, T-shirt and stickers of specially drawn illustration by Tim Burton for Kuala Lumpur Pop-up Museum, the twin towers with the monster. Fans and collectors should not miss out on these unique collections!

Lastly, organizer have introduced a ticket discount promotion to encourage more fans to attend the Pop-up Museum. Purchasing two or more tickets of any mix category will entitle visitors to a 50% discount by using the code [TOYBOXTB]. This offer is valid for both online purchases through Ticket Charge and on-site ticket counter until the closing day. And a super deal for the fans of cosplayers. Come in any characters of Tim Burton, take photo at the venue, post on social media, tag Toybox Projects and be entitled to enter the exhibition only at RM20!
