Located in Penang,  The  Dark Mansion is a pioneering museum that proudly calls itself the country’s first Glow-In-The-Dark Museum. And in here, one can go beyond and explore new dimension of 3D art that goes beyond traditional painting techniques by incorporating the fascinating glow-in-the-dark effect into its artworks, creating a truly unique and immersive experience.

As soon as you enter Dark Mansion, you will be mesmerized by a world of glowing wonders. The museum features a plethora of captivating 3D paintings that come to life when viewed under ultraviolet (UV) lighting. The vibrant colors, glowing illusions, and interactive displays create a visually stunning and dynamic environment that sparks the imagination and engages the senses.

Dark Mansion is divided into several themed zones, each with its own distinctive glow-in-the-dark artworks.

Once you enter, you are greeted and you will head up to the first floor. You need to walk up the stairs to visit their creative and artistic arts.

You will be starting off with 5 stops in total 

 “Tropical Pandora: The Forbidden Land”.

 In Tropical Pandora, you will explore and witness the metamorphosis of plants and paintings into special living creatures during the transitions of daylight and black light.  From enchanted forests with mystical creatures to underwater worlds with colorful marine life, visitors can embark on a captivating journey through different realms of imagination. 

The museum’s innovative use of glow-in-the-dark technology adds a sense of wonder and excitement to the traditional concept of 3D art, making the experience truly extraordinary.

The Fire & Water 

This is where, one can step in to the Darwin’s only masterpiece that has a day and night transition and can only be found in this museum. One picture with two different effect, how extraordinary.

New Atlantis : Underwater World

In here, one can discover the beauty of the ocean being a mermaid without even going into the water. One can captured the beautiful pictures down inside the ocean with your loved ones

Infinity Room

Then you will step to the endless space called the “Infinity Room: The Origins of Eywa”. In here, one can enjoy the fascinating experience of infinite space, populated by hanging and glowing objects (Eywa), which make the space seems like a galaxy or a nebula.

Fairy Tale Land

Explore the magical world of fairies and pixies who live in a forest full lushes green and blooming flowers by travelling in Cinderella pumpkin carriage while being amazed by the view of Smurf village.

One of the unique aspects of Dark Mansion is its emphasis on interaction with the art. Unlike traditional art museums where touching the artworks is typically forbidden, Dark Mansion encourages visitors to pose and take photos with the glowing artworks.
