Embark on a journey to rediscover the rich heritage of the Malaysia Sultanate era at Mandarin Oriental, Kuala Lumpur, starting from the Holy Month of fasting from 23 March to 21 April 2023. Immerse yourself in the unique dining experience and embark on a journey to rediscover the traditions and flavors of the Malaysia Sultanate era.

The culinary journey starts with a wide variety of ulam ulaman, the traditional Malay salad, including signature dishes like Sambal Jering, Sambal Belimbing, Sambal Belachan, and Sambal Belimbing Isi Ketam. The authentic flavors of these dishes are sure to tantalize your taste buds.

Apart from the ulam ulaman, the buffet spread also includes a wide range of Jeruk, the traditional pickled fruits and vegetables of Malaysia. You will be spoiled for choice with the wide variety of Jeruk in their selection, including Jeruk Betik, Jeruk Mangga, and many more.

For those who love Kerabu, the Malay salad with a tangy dressing, the selection is extensive. You can enjoy the Kerabu Telor Ikan Pucuk Paku, Keabu Jantung Pisang Telur Masin, Kerabu Jeruk Ikan Goreng, and many more.

The main course features the flavorful Gulai Kawah, a Malay-style hotpot that you can customize to your taste. You can sample the wide variety of kawah, including Siput Sedut Kari Merah, Udang Galah Lemak Asam Nenas, and Rendang Rusa Daun Kunyit, to name a few.

The live cooking station offers freshly prepared dishes, such as Popiah Masak Padu and Noodle Stations, which will be served hot and steaming to your table. You can savor the aroma and flavors of these dishes cooked right in front of you.

The selection of other main dishes includes Ayam Masak Kicap Berlada Daun Kari, Labu Masak Lemak Kuning Pucuk Manis, Nasi Kukus Beras Wangi, Lidah Bakar Berempah, Rendang Ayam, and many more. These dishes are cooked to perfection and will leave you wanting for more.

To end your meal on a sweet note, the dessert spread offers a wide variety of traditional Malaysian sweets, including Bubur Cha Cha, Jagung Manis Bersago, Bubur Kacang Durian Bersago, and many more. You can also enjoy a selection of international desserts, such as Espresso Tiramisu, Crème Caramel, and Vanilla Mango Passion Diplomate.

The ambiance of the restaurant is equally impressive, featuring an elegant decor inspired by the opulent Sultanate era of Malaysia. The warm hospitality of the staff and the authentic flavors of the dishes will make your dining experience at the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur a memorable one.

The Santapan Warisan Melayu buffet will commence from 23 March onward, from 6 to 10.30pm daily and is priced at RM 298nett.
