Celebrate Father’s Day with Kanika

In conjunction with Father’s Day, is time to whip the kitchen to pamper our daddy. And thanks to Kanika where we can now prepare a nice menu at the comfort of our home with just using Kanika products.

For those who are not aware, Kanika products are from HSH Frozen Foods Sdn Bhd where all their items are available in major shopping mall in Malaysia. Kanika is a brand which is famed for their frozen food and they have 30 years of experience in providing quality food at the reasonable price. Established back in 1991, they have been supplying frozen food and in 1996 the brand “Kanika”is born where they are one of the supplier of frozen seafood, fish and Japanese product in Malaysia. Kanika have been supplying over 1,000 types of frozen seafood to hotels, restaurants, supermarket and hypermarket.  Not just that, they are also the main importer for more than 1000 product to over 20 countries to Malaysia too. With this, you will assure that Kanika brings you quality products that never failed to disappoint you.

We had purchased their wholesome package which is priced at RM 127 only and it will be available from 6th June 2022 till 18th June 2022. The bundle package comes with :

2 x Breaded Scallop

2 x Sesame Salad Dressing

Let’s Cook with Kanika Product

Let’s Cook with these awesome ingredients from Kanika. Firstly, we are going to make sushi with it as it is one of our family favourites. It is simply easy to make your own sushi at home.

RECIPE 1: SUSHI

What you need:

1. Sushi Rice

2. Seaweed

3. Kanika Products (Chuka Wakame, Chuka Hotate, Chuka Idako)

Method:

1. Cook your sushi rice accordingly

2. Once done, add in some sushi vinegar

3. Wet your hand when you want to mould the sushi. Mould your sushi and put the seaweed.

4. Top your desired topping and ingredients from Kanika on top

RECIPE 2 : KITSUNE UDON

Kitsune Udon is a Japanese noodle soup in dashi broth and topped with seasoned fried tofu. It is actually comes with the rich broth and the chewy noodles together with the fried tofu and it is simple and quick to make.

What you need:

1. Udon from Kanika

2. Japanese Seaweed

3. Dashi Broth or Stock

4. 1 Tbsp of Mirin

5. 2 pcs of Mushroom

6. Inari

Method:

1. Cook your broth accordingly and as for me I used the pre-packed dashi from the supermarket

2. Add in the noodles and the ingredients you want

3. Once cook, it is ready to be served

RECIPE 3: DEEP FRIED SCALLOPS

What you need

1. Breaded Scallop

2. Sesame Salad Dressing

Method:

1. Deep fried the breaded scallop

2. Then top with the sesame salad dressing

3. Ready to serve

Isnt that easy!

Asides from that we also use the breaded scallops to make awesome dish for our kids too. We made a don with it where we use the Japanese rice and then topped with the deep fried breaded scallop and side with the Japanese Egg, Ebiko, and Corn with it. You can also add in some edamame, or the season squid on top too.

OUR  REVIEW

Overall, the product comes at an affordable price. We love the breaded scallop where it is very juicy and easy to cook too. They are really nice where it brings you the crispy on the outside while inside remains its juiciness. The Chuka Wakame, Chuka Hotate, Chuka Idako is just like store. We love the taste of it as it is chewy and flavourful too. Just perfect to go with sushi or even enjoy it as it is. As for the sesame sauce, i am impressed. They are really fragrant with the sesame taste in them.

With all these products from Kanika, preparing an wholesome Japanese meals from home is no longer a hassle. If you love to dine for some Japanese delights, you can now enjoy them at anytime at home. What you need is heads to Kanika Website to shop their products. They are also available in major grocery shop, hypermarket like Jaya Grocer and AEON.

Not just that, one can also visit available in Shopee and Lazada. You can get them in their e-store too. What’s interesting is one can visit their factory in Selayang to stock up the awesome Japanese Delights.
