SHERATON PETALING JAYA COLLABORATES WITH CHINA’S FIRST CRAFT GIN WITH SENSATIONAL SHANGHAI FARE

Sheraton Petaling Jaya takes you on a journey to Shanghai through the collaboration with China’s first craft gin, Peddler’s Gin. This Chinese New Year, gather your loved ones over the spectacular Sensational Shanghai Set Menu paired with refreshing gin cocktails. The eight-course set menu will feature authentic Shanghai Cuisines such as Braised Shanghai Baked Tofu with Peanut and Marinated Fish and Wok Fried Baby River Shrimp with Sweet Soya Sauce.

“We are excited to welcome this collaboration with a brand of a similar ethos like Peddler’s Gin, who conforms to the value of elevated Chinese cuisine with craft drinks, perfect for sharing and connecting people. We find many similarities between the Chinese botanicals used in Peddler’s Gin and our food ingredients, which captures a nostalgic yet unique taste,” said Yue’s Chinese Cuisine Chef – Lim Huang Hock of Yue. And this time we sampled a wide variety of dishes which is indeed tantalizing

Yee Sang with Deep-fried Soft Shell Crab and Fish Roe Topped with Peanuts 

We started of the yee sang where they are beautifully prepared. The yee sang are well prepared where one can enjoy the freshly made ingredients that top with the crunchy softshell crab and fish roe. They are superbly good and each mouthful is sinfully good! One would definitely be in love with their yee sang and they are really awesome.

Braised Shanghai Baked Tofu With Peanut Combination of Marinated Fish

The dish is indeed unique and special. The Braised Shanghai Baked Tofu is uniquely done as they tofu absorb all the flavours marination. We love how it is done which give us a WOW when we tasted the first bites.

Braised Sliced Top Shells Soup with Dried Seafood and Dried Scallop

The wholesome broth which is packed with scrumptious ingredients definitely will not disappoint you. They are awesomely good with the complete flavours in it 

Braised Fried Chicken Meatball with Sweet Sauce 

Next, we had the Braised Fried Chicken Meatball With Sweet Sauce in it. The Meatball is made in house adding in some dried squid which makes the whole meatball to the next level which is aromatic and flavourful. They are perfect and delicious and the meatball is simply juicy.

Deep – Fried Gold Pomfret with Butter Cream and Black Truffle 

Another dish which is a must to try here is their Deep-Fried Gold With Butter Cream And Black Truffle. The fish is perfectly deep fried till perfection which come simply good and delicious. The fish are fresh and the meat remains is flaky texture.

And they do have poon choi too. The poon choi is packed with the scrumptious ingredients such as mushroom,fish maw, abalone, dried scallops and more.

Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice served with Waxed Duck and Chinese Chicken Sausage

The Steamed Lotus Leaf Rice is such an indulgence where they perfectly infused with the flavours of the lotus leaf in it. They served together with the waxed meat and the Chinese chicken sausage in it. They are perfectly done and each mouthful is simply delicious.

                                

                 

Chilled pear with Lotus Seeds and Red Dates Served with Deep-fried Chinese New Year Cake with Yam and Sweet Potatoes

After a wholesome meal, we ends with a sweet ending which is the Chilled Pear with Lotus Seeds and Red Dates Served with the Deep-Fried Chinese New Year Cake with Yam and Sweet Potatoes. 

The Yue Sensational Shanghai Eight-Course Set Menu will be available from 17 Jan – 20 Feb 2022 and they are priced at  RM268nett per person.  One can add on with the  Peddler’s Gin Sichuan Negroni (RM43nett per glass) while Peddler’s Gin & Tonic (RM38nett per glass).

The Chinese New Year Nine-Course Set Menu will be available from 17 Jan – 20 Feb 2022. The “Hallmark of Achievement” will be priced at RM2388 per table of eight persons while the “Prosperity Set Menu” will be at RM1888 per table of eight persons.

Yue’s “Huat” celebratory reunion meals extend to the functions rooms to accommodate larger groups, suitable for corporate appreciation dinners or family get-togethers. Available from 17th January 2022 at RM188+ and RM218+ per person.

At Feast, the celebration starts early with a bountiful Chinese New Year-themed buffet from 17th January 2022. Savour festive favourites such as Dried Oysters and Deep Fried Nian Gao (Glutinous Rice Cake) with authentic Shanghai dishes such as Black Moss with Dried Oysters and Greens, Shanghai Noodle Soup, Chinese Yam with Blueberry Sauce, Soya Braised Shanghai Tofu and Marinated Fish.

Impress your guests with a less conventional reunion meal at Miyabi with its six-course Japanese set menu with Yee Sang, where you can enjoy Tuna Belly, Tuna, Ikura Salmon Roe, Yellow Tail or Tobiko Fish Roe as add-ons. Expect Miyabi’s signature dishes prepped a’ la minute with King Prawn & Avocado Kakiage Tempura and Seafood Teppanyaki taking centre stage. Priced from RM988 for two persons to RM1888nett for four persons.

For a leisurely weekend indulgence with an oriental touch, head on to the lounge on level 31 for its afternoon tea set. Sink your teeth into ten types of delightfully sweet and savoury treats portioned for two persons while enjoying the panoramic view of Greater Kuala Lumpur. Available from 3pm to 6pm every Saturday and Sunday, and weekdays at Link @Sheraton Café at RM160nett per person. Enhance your afternoon with Peddler’s Gin cocktails as add-ons.
