EXPERIENCE A MAGICAL “CHRISTMAS VILLAGE” AT THE RESORT CAFÉ IN SUNWAY CITY KUALA LUMPUR

December 18, 2021 by StrawberrY Gal

Recapture the joys of the season and wrap up the year in style at Sunway City Kuala Lumpur Hotels. The Resort Café at Sunway Resort forms the main focal point with its ‘Christmas Village’, where a magical theme comes to life with festive decorations and settings, gourmet indulgences, fun family activities, and other surprises from 13 December 2021 to 1 January 2022.

Modelled after the traditional Christmas markets in Germany, diners will be welcomed by charming Christmas Village décor with traditional German-style wooden huts and a life-sized snow globe, creating a festive atmosphere filled with vibrancy, joy and fun. Capture dramatic Insta-worthy moments with exciting Christmas backdrop settings, Santa meet-and-greets, or be entertained with fun activities to get you and your family into the spirit of the season.

Meet our culinary team and the affable Chef De Cuisine – Chef Jasper Chow, and entice your palate with his culinary creations of time-honoured festive fare, classic favourites and speciality highlights. Chef Jasper began his career in Dubai at a young age and trained in the conventions of molecular cuisine for fine French dining. Upon returning to Malaysia, his passion and talent for fine, global flavours was refined over a decade during stints at renowned restaurants and luxurious five-star hotels before recently joining Sunway Resort.

Daily rotational festive buffets at The Resort Café will feature a seafood bar with fresh prawns, oysters, yabbies and mussels while the carving station will showcase traditional and modern roasts like leg of lamb, herb infused sirloin, pepper-herb crusted beef, glazed turkey crown with giblet sauce, cranberry jelly, red cabbage jam and choice of stuffing, and Chipolata sausage wrap with maple smoked beef bacon.

A selection of local and Western highlights will include the ever-popular ‘lok-lok’ skewers, dim sum, grilled meats, a live pasta station, lamb biryani and an array of delectable festive cakes, Yule log, cookies, panettone, gingerbread and more.
