Makan Yuk with Indonesian delights with Nook’s takeaway sets

April 22, 2020 by StrawberrY Gal

This holy month of Ramadan, journey to Indonesia and experience mouthwatering Indonesian cuisine in the comfort of your home, with Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral’s takeaway Makan Yuk sets.

Created by the sassy culinary team from Nook, our all-day dining restaurant, have an awesome time breaking fast with loved ones, as we take you on a gastronomic journey through Nusantara, whipping up three sets: Beef, Lamb and Chicken. Our Makan Yuk
Indonesia-themed takeaway menu has been carefully crafted by our Executive Chef Arfizan and Nook’s Chef de Cuisine – Chef Rais along with their talented team. Each set (which serves four to five people) has a highlight – diners who choose the Lamb set will feast on an Indonesian favourite, Kambing Bakar Bumbu, a lamb dish marinated with a combination of local spices including turmeric, coriander seeds, chilli powder, ginger and lemongrass. Once the lamb is marinated, it is slow roasted for two hours to achieve a
texture that is tender and juicy.

Ordering the Beef Set? Get your phone ready for an instagrammable shot of our chefs slicing juicy pieces of Daging Sapi Gongso, Nook’s signature. Marinated with an Indonesian sweet soya sauce, red chilli and a mixture of Asian spices including cinnamon,
cardamom, cumin, anise and fennel, this succulent dish will have you coming back for more. The secret to its tenderness? The daging is slowly braised for three hours to retain the flavour of the marinade and to give it that melt-in-your-mouth texture.

Sink your teeth into the Ayam Bakar Ingkung, the star of the Chicken Set. Originating from the special region of Yogyakarta, Aloft has added our own sassy flavours, marinating the chicken with special bumbu ingredients, coconut milk and Indonesian Kecap (ABC
Caramel sauce). Paired with our homemade Sambal Bajak, a sweet and spicy relish, you’ll have a cluckin’ good time.
As sweet as the time spent with loved ones, is our Bubur Sumsum. If you’re feeling a little more health concious, end the meal with dates and a selection of dried fruit, and quench your thirst with chilled juice.
The Ramadan takeaway promotion, Makan Yuk @ Home, is priced at RM168 nett for the Chicken Set, and RM198 nett for the Lamb and Beef sets. Each set serves four to five pax and is available for order from 27 April – 22 May.
Diners are highly encouraged to make reservations at least two days in advance to their pick-up date.
Delivery is available and limited to diners within a 1km radius around the hotel. For all other diners, please arrange for your preferred delivery vendor or pick up your set at the front desk, located in the lobby of Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral.

To make a reservation or find out more about these offers, please call (60) 3 2723 1188 or visit www.aloftkualalumpursentral.com
