 Inspired by the early spring of countryside village in China, Sungei Wang welcomes shoppers to a ‘Go Gold Auspicious Year’ from now until February 9. Adding to the festive excitement, the mall is giving away RM1,288 cash prize daily in the highly anticipated ‘Gold Rush Challenge’ contest!
After the rejuvenation of the new annexe block, JUMPA @ Sungei Wang, Sungei Wang continues its effort to enrich shopping experience to all shoppers with a Lunar New Year celebration like no others.

The mall is transformed into an insta-worthy countryside village with melting snow and plum blossoms bringing early scent of spring, symbolising a new hope for a new year after a long winter. All decked out in gold ingots and sky-filled red lanterns, as well as a water mill on water that promise good luck and great fortune to the shoppers. Strolling across the bridge, shoppers will find the specially curated Auspicious Market Hall with an array of festive delights and merchandises.

“In our pursuit of enhancing shopping experience for everyone, Sungei Wang has started undergoing asset enhancement initiative since 2019 to give a fresh look to the mall. To create an exciting experience for shoppers in this Lunar New Year, Sungei Wang is proud to unveil the ‘Go Gold Auspicious Year’ campaign where shoppers stand a chance to bring home a minimum of RM1,288 daily in the Gold Rush Challenge,” says Acting Complex Manager of Sungei Wang, Mr. Hadi Abdul Ali.
The grand launch of Sungei Wang’s ‘Go Gold Auspicious Year’ campaign was officiated by the Member of Parliament for Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur, Yang Berhormat Tuan Fong Kui Lun. “It is glad to see the continuous effort of Sungei Wang in upholding the commitments to drive the growth of the country’s tourism sector especially in enhancing the shopping experience during the festive seasons,” says YB Tuan Fong Kui Lun in the launch.
RM1,288 Daily Cash Prize to reward Shoppers
Continuing on from the Christmas campaign, the highly anticipated Gold Rush Challenge is making a comeback to ensure a prosperous new year for the shoppers! Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM150 in 2 combined receipts may stand a chance to win RM1,288 cash prize by shovelling out 8.8kg of gold nuggets in given time frame. Adding to the thrill, the prize snowballs RM1,288 each day until February 9. Terms and conditions apply.
MY Go Gold Auspicious Carnival
Soak in the joy of festive celebration with ‘Go Gold Auspicious Carnival’ on January 12 with radio announcers from MY FM. On top of fun games and workshops, there will be a 1-hour Special Gold Rush Challenge where all shoppers may participate the contest for FREE and win cash prizes!
Auspicious Love, a Donation Drive
Sungei Wang is resolute in sowing the seeds for a better tomorrow for our community through the dedicated ‘Auspicious Love’ donation drive in conjunction with the Lunar New Year celebration. Shoppers are encouraged to make a donation in exchange for a wishing card to be hung on the auspicious blossom tree located at Centre Court. All proceeds will go towards providing a safe and comfortable living environment for the old folks residing at Pusat Penjagaan Warga Emas Chan located in Setapak, Kuala Lumpur.
