Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur Presents Its Inagural Mooncake Collection This Mid-Autumn Festival!

July 12, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

Amid the enchanting moonlight, savour sweet reunions over an enthralling ensemble of luxuriously flavoured bite-size pieces of gastronomic heaven. For the first time ever, Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur heralds the mid-autumn tradition of dainty mooncake crafting with an array of innovative flavours perfectly wrapped in a distinctive custom-made gift box which defines the golden age of travel.

Handmade to perfection, the celestial creations are baked using only the finest of ingredients. Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur’s exquisite mooncakes are available in a myriad of flavours that include baked lotus paste with single yolk, baked white lotus paste with black sesame as well as pandan infused paste, best paired with a calming cup of chamomile tea. For those with a penchant for the King of Fruits, find delight in the luxurious baked durian. Chocolate lovers can also rejoice! Deviating from the traditional mooncakes, contemporary chocolate mooncakes combine playful appearance with multi-layered filling of flavours – an alternative to the classic Chinese pastries.

Combining bittersweet chocolate with refreshing mint filling, the mint chocolatepaste is intriguingly compelling. Chocoholics can also opt for the sinful tiramisupaste.

Those with an adventurous palate may also indulge in two coffee-infused snow skin mooncakes handcrafted by our Pastry Chef – the illy Coffee Snow Skin Mooncake and the illy Coffee Snow Skin Mooncake with Pumpkin Seeds – a recognition towards Le Méridien’s global brand partnership with Italian brand, illycaffè.

“We are very excited to announce our inaugural Mid-Autumn Festival at the hotel for the community,” said Michael Delargy, General Manager, Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur. “As one of the most auspicious festivals in Chinese culture, the Mid- Autumn Festival is often filled with endearing moments of meaningful family reunions, a tradition we are extremely proud to be a part of, and to associate it with the global Le Méridien Family programme.

Priced at RM 28 each, these dainty creations are sold at Latitude 03, lobby level of Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, and available from 1 August to 13 September 2019. Also available in a box of six, those wishing to purchase the limited edition premium mooncake gift set can do so at RM 158 each. Bulk purchases are welcomed and orders of more than 50 boxes can be made at least three (3) days in advance. Marriott Bonvoy members as well as cardholders of Maybank, CIMB Bank, HSBC, Hong Leong Bank and United Overseas Bank (UOB) get to enjoy an exclusive 10% savings on all mooncake purchases.

To purchase, please call Latitude 03 at +60 3 2263 7434 or email [email protected]. Orders can be collected daily from Latitude 03 between 11.30am to 9pm.
