‘A Nostalgic Celebration’ @ RED Chinese Cuisine , Pullman KLCC

January 24, 2019 by StrawberrY Gal

Chinese New Year is celebrated in spring of the Lunar Calendar and is about timeless traditions that reunite family and friends. Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences launches its Chinese New Year ‘A Nostalgic Celebration’ dining promotion at Red Chinese Cuisine, from 4 January to 19 February 2019.

And this year, Pullman Kuala Lumpur bring back the traditional Chinese culture that is all about spending time with family and friends or enjoying a simple reunion dinner together. Red will be offering uniquely crafted Yee Sang, suitable for gym junkies and indulgent Chinese delicacies. Guests will be greeted by lanterns and pink cherry blossoms that symbolise good luck, while a pop-up, retro grocery store or ‘Kedai Runcit’ in the Malaysian language, depicting the good ol’ days adorns the hotel’s main lobby.

“ Prosperity” Salmon Yee Sang Served with the Crispy Shredded Treasures and Plum Dressing

Starts the auspicious festive menus with Yee Sang, a must-have Chinese New Year prosperity salad, highlighting Red’s very own homemade sauces. The Fresh Fruits and Garden Greens Yee Sang tastes great and is for all diners, with a variety toppings, including Fresh Salmon, Fresh Tuna, Scallop Lips, Jellyfish, Sea Urchin, Tempura Prawn, Crispy Whitebait, Black Truffle, Abalone, Crispy Soft Shell Crab and Crispy Fish Skin.  The Yee Sang comes impressively delicious where they are simply refreshing and appetizing too. Available for dine-in or takeaway.

Double Boiled Sea Whelk Soup with Matsutake Mushroom, Winter Melon and Conpoy

The hearty bowl of soup is such a tummy warming delights to go for. The soup comes hot and complete with the healthy benefits in it. Such a nice soup to start off our meal.

Stir- Fried Mantis Shrimp with Fish Roe and Asparagus

Fill up your tummy with the delicious and flavourful mantis shrimps with  the fish roe and asparagus. This is awesomely good where it brings a light kick and the blend is just perfect to my tastebuds.

Scrambled Egg White with Tomatoes and Bamboo Fungus

This is just like what we have usually and it brings up much memories with this. The delicious homey dish reminds me those were the days where my grandmother used to make this for me when I am just a little kid.

“Fujian Style” Seafood Fried Rice with Whole Abalone

Help your self with the luxurious bowl of fried rice where they are fried with the “Fujian Style”. Completes with generous seafood in it and a whole abalone. Delicious!

Pan-fried Chinese Pudding and Sweet Purple Potato

Ended with a deliciously and not too sweet desserts. Both the desserts comes impressively delicious and one of my favourites too.

Diners can take their pick of three celebratory menus which are priced from RM1,388 to RM1,888. Each set menu serves ten persons and prices are inclusive of 6% government service tax. For intimate gatherings this spring festival, private dining rooms are available for family reunions or company events. Red remains open on the Eve of Chinese New Year and throughout the 15-day celebration.

Red is located on level 2, Pullman KLCC, and is a pork-free establishment. On 12 February 2019, there will be a Lion Dance Performance and giant Yee Sang Toss to celebrate the auspicious occasion with the public. For reservations, call +603 2170 8888 extn 8200 or e-mail [email protected]
