Yu By Ruyi @ The Gardens : Insta-friendly Dim Sum to die for!

October 29, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Opening its doors on 28th September 2018 at the Riverview entrance of The Gardens Mall, YU by Ruyi is the latest addition to the family of RUYI & LYN offering pork-free Chinese Cuisine for all Malaysians to enjoy!

The restaurant comes with the beautiful design with an intimate dining space which will definite to blow you off. Their beautiful interior which is just so awesome with the lovely colour. The restaurant brings you with not just great food as well. Designed within an intimate dining space incorporating a cosy cocktail bar – YU offers fresh dim sum and high tea from 11am – 4pm daily as well as an eclectic Modern Chinese Menu crafted by award winning Chef James Ho of RUYI & LYN.

And in here, one can enjoy their delicious pork free dim sum with the touch of insta-friendly.They have the Steamin’ XXL Dim Sum Feast Basket! And it comes simply Instagram friendly where the are some cute little meticulously shaped animals which resembles like a zoo.

Some of the highlight which is so cute and attracted my attention is the cute hedgehogs which is actually the White Salted Egg Yolk Buns, and the fish shapeddumpling with two roes as eyes is called Gold fish dumpling. Each of it comes so pretty and attractive as well. The XXL Basket is only available from 11am-4pm. Else you can grab their ala-carte menu as well.

As for the pan-fried baked pastry of a buffalo crunches into chunky bits of marinated beef while the skin is so fluffy and crispy. Whats more it’s to cute to be eaten. The graceful swan comes with the shredded duck meat.

Both steamed and pan-fried dim sum range between RM8-28 per plate—a steal considering the use of premium ingredients such as Wagyu beef, abalone and sturgeon caviar. You can dip your dim sum with their exciting and colourful sweet sauce and chilli sauce. It is well match with the dim sums too.

Rock n Roll Salad(夏果软壳蟹摇滚沙拉 ) (RM 48)
You can ploy your food now. Nothing better than that right? Grab the bottle and shake it off. The salad comes with the soft shell crab, fresh greens, & macadamia nuts in orange jus.

Crabby Corn ( 黄金蟹柳粟米粒 ) (RM 28)
The Crabby Corn is another highlight where it is served with the crab & sweet corn potpourri coated with salted egg yolk. The crispy bites of with the sweet and flavorful crab meat comes perfect to my tastebuds.

Mongolian Boxer (蒙古拳头鸡) (RM 28)
Spice up your life here. This is so addictive where it the chicken drumlets comes sweet & spicy. Love the kick of it

Pekingnese Princess (鱼子鹅肝酱片皮鸭 ) (RM 88)
Fans of duck should order this.  I love the crispy duck skin which is perfectly bbq-ed. The skin is simply good with the crispy bites. Served with caviar & foie gras mousse which make the whole dish to another level.

Flower Pillow matcha ( 绿茶鱼子豆腐) (RM 38)
One of the highlights is of course the Flower Pillow matcha which is infused tofu with caviar, salmon roe & fragrant oats. Love the velvety texture of the toufu with light hint of matcha. Addictively good!

Steamin” Crabilicious(膏蟹梅香肉饼糯米饭) (RM 108)
Enjoy the whole steamed crab served with roe, salted fish & chicken pate on glutinous rice. The aromatic and fragrant of the crab is well blend into the glutinous rice itself. And it is amazingly good especially on the texture and aromas. Love this!

Playboy Carrot molten peanut lava (花心萝卜仔)(RM 15)
Ends your meal with dessert of course. The name itself captures my attention… haha. Crispy at the outside and indise is filled with the molten peanut lava. Awesome !

KOI  (RM 50): Gin, Martini Bianco, Bird’s Nest, Earl Grey Infused Cardamom, Lemon, Egg White, Sour Aloe Foam, Chives, Cracker, Caviar, Ebiko & Gold Leaf

Mother’s Tea  (RM 38) : pandan infused gin, pandan tea syrup, lime, cincau syrup, lime tea soda, cincau, pandan

Corny Couple (RM 38): Vocka, Licor 43, Cream Corn, Corn Puree, Lme, Truffle Oil, Popcorn, Nori
Bruce Lee (RM 38) : Licor 43, Marachino Liqueur, Jackfruit Puree, Basil, Syrup, Lime

After Hour Caffeine (RM 38) : Caribbean Spiced Rum , Frangelico Hazelnut, Liqueur, Nutella, Chocolate, Espresso Vanilla Syrup, Whipped Cream, Roasted Walnut

Asides from creative dishes at Yu by Ruyi; one can also enjoy the awesome range of cocktail here. It is one of the creative dining place I had been like Ruyi in Bangsar.
