Summer in Italy Afternoon Tea at Lobby Lounge

Indulge in Lobby Lounge’s brand new Afternoon Tea Set this summer, embracing delectable savouries and classic patisseries infused with an Italian twist. The afternoon tea set is specially crafted by InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong’s Executive Pastry Chef Cedric De Lima a Sousa, using seasonal summer produce in Italy. Guests will also be gifted a complimentary mini set of Bianco Di Carrara skin products bfrom Salvatore Ferragamo as a memento of the afternoon tea experience. 

 

Be prepared to savour a host of delectable patisseries made from imported seasonal ingredients from Italy. One of the highlights from the spread includes the soft and smooth Piemonte financier with Praline cream. To enrich the flavour of this financier, Chef Cedric specially picked the hazelnut grown at Piedmont in Italy, where its hazelnut is renowned as the best in the world; Sicilian pistachio cream, cherry confit choux uses Sicilian pistachios which are strong in taste with a sharp nutty flavour. Sample the purest expression of Italian Mascarpone cheese with the Mascarpone vanilla cream éclair topped with chocolate crisps showcasing the perfect combination of different texture. Awake your palates by the fluffy and flavoursome Sicilian lemon-olive oil Madeleine made of  lemons from the Sicily, southern Italy. Satisfy your sweet tooth with other pastry delights such as Tiramisu cake, Chocolate 64% cake, raspberry and rose panna cotta and house-made Amalfi lemon and raisin scones served with Cornish clotted cream and strawberry rose preserves. 

 

What is more, savoury items on the afternoon tea set are some other not-to-be-missed delights. Tantalizing Parma ham, Mozzarella and basil ciabatta features 24-month aged Parma Ham from Italy.  Bresaola and Peperonata crostini, tapenade is a traditional Italian snack this is simply irresistible. Other enticing savouries include smoked chicken, sun dried tomato and herb mayonnaise in white bread; egg and rucola salad, tomato bread and smoked salmon, Parmesan cream cheese and green olive tarlet.
  To round an afternoon perfectly, take a sip of your favourite tea choosing from a variety of loose-leaf tea selection or organic herbal and floral tea.
