Immerse in the Luxury of a Leisurely Afternoon Tea in the Heart of Kuala Lumpur

April 13, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

Newens Tea House adds a new and refreshing twist to the traditional ritual of afternoon tea by bringing you a selection of perfectly steeped cup of tea and scrumptious pastries inspired by tea cultures from around the globe.

Catering to those who enjoy and appreciate the finer things in life, Newens has curated a variety of delectable artisan delicacies through its A Journey Through Tea series available throughout the year, with specials such as Tea with Anne Boleyn, Joyous May Afternoon Tea and Summer Holiday Afternoon Tea for the month of April, May and June respectively.

Themed with a royal touch, Newens welcomes the month of April with Tea with Anne Boleyn. Cascading down the three-tiered cake stand are classic favourites featuring Mini Apple Pie, English Fruit Cake, Eton Mess, English Trifle, Earl Grey Macaron, Shortbread Cookies, Maids of Honour Tarts, Scones served with Clotted Cream and Preserves, Mini Kew Pasty, Mini Chicken Pie and Mini Salmon and Onion Quiche. This afternoon tea is served with free-flow of black aromatic STS Tea. Love how the classic delights are made and the Maids of Honour never disappoint me.

For the month of May, Newens will be serving the Joyous May Afternoon Tea. Indulge in decadent pastries that will surely please the palates – Apple and Hazelnut Cake, Vanilla Cupcakes, Rainbow Cake, Open-Faced Salmon Rose and Egg and Caviar Sandwiches, Strawberry-flavoured Maids of Honour Tarts and Scones served with Clotted Cream and Preserves. This is complemented by freeflow of Life and Beauty Tea, a herbal infusion of aloe vera and tropical fruits. Each of the delights are just beautifully presented where the rainbow cake is one of the highlight of the whole desserts. And what’s more the open- faced salmon rose is a perfect indulgence with the fresh salmon bites in it.

To commemorate summer, Newens will be serving a summer-themed tea set for the month of June. Tea connoisseurs can relish in the Summer Holiday Afternoon Tea which features Mixed Berries Crepes, Panna Cotta, Cream Horn, Madeline, Rainbow Cake, Fresh Strawberries Dipped in Chocolate and Assorted Homemade Sandwiches. This afternoon tea experience comes paired with free-flow of Iced Fruits of Paradise Tea made with mango, pineapple and papaya. And I love the presentation which is awesomely beautiful.

These thematic tea experiences are available throughout each respective month from 2.30pm to 5.30pm daily at MYR150 nett per set for two persons. For reservations and information on Newens Tea House, please contact +60 3 2719 8550, [email protected] or visit feastvillage.com
