PJ’s Bar & Grill @ New World Hotel : Great Dining Place with Scenery !

March 30, 2018 by StrawberrY Gal

The introduction of Kelana Jaya’s first rooftop bar – PJ’s Bar & Grill at New World Petaling Jaya Hotel sets the stage for exceptional reinvented dining and entertainment within the city. Perfectly positioned for 360-degree views of the city from its 30th floor rooftop, PJ’s Bar & Grill is one of Petaling Jaya’s most sociable venues.

Fitted with a viewing deck, PJ’s Bar & Grill is the largest rooftop bar in Petaling Jaya, perfect for capturing the city’s panoramic skyline. While you sip on signature cocktails by the deck or even next to the poolside, savour Western and Asian grilled selections, or tasty tapas-style small plates perfect for grazing, paired with carefully chosen wines or a cold Malaysian beer, are all the ingredients necessary for memorable day-time or evening dining. And really, what could be more romantic than dinner under a tropical night sky with a magic carpet of city lights rolled out before you?

If you fancy live cooking, another focal point of PJ’s Bar & Grill is its indoor open grill, serving up the city’s freshest ‘Catch of the Day’, spectacularly grilled to perfection. Led by culinary extraordinaire, Executive Chef – Alexander Chong, with over 20 years of culinary experience in internationally acclaimed restaurants and luxury chain hotels worldwide, the industry heavyweight specialises in Western and Chinese cuisines and constantly brings to the table innovative new takes on classic dishes with a great flair. And this round, we are fortunate to sample some of the best from Chef Alexander Chong.

Chowder (RM16)
Starts your meal with the deliciously prepared chowder. The soup is being cook for hours with the tiger prawns, snapper, clams with tomato, saffron and olive oil. Packed with great ingredients all in one bowl, one can taste the sweetness and the velvety texture of the soup itself. It is such a great blend and tummy warming soup to welcome the day.

Moving next we enjoyed a great platter of great meals where they comes with choices of the chicken wings, and jumbo satay with it.

Chicken Wings (RM26)
Nice and spicy sensation. The chicken wings comes perfect and brings you with the robust flavours and also light kick of spiciness. It is simply perfectly bbq-ed and sides with the chef signature Spicy BBQ sauce.

Jumbo Satay – Chicken (RM28) / Beef (RM38)
Don’t miss out their satay here. Choices of the Chicken and beef satay which is just perfect. I love the chunky bites of chicken meat!

PJ’s Party Platter (RM38)
We also have the party snacks which is just perfect to go with beers as well. Enjoy the generous portion of platter where they are packed with the breaded crabcakes, softshell crab, hot fries and crispy wonton chips Asian dips.

Classic Vanilla Crème Brûlée (RM28)

Citrus Baba (RM28).

Ends your meal with their signature Classic Vanilla Crème Brûlée (RM28) as well as the Citrus Baba (RM28).

To crown the evening, “lovers of the leaf” can retreat to the private Cigar Lounge in the restaurant, to puff upon their choice of cigars sourced from Cuba and the Dominican Republic or savour a night cap from PJ’s Bar & Grill’s extensive wine and liquor list.
