Kowloon Shangri-La – Christmas Charity Sales: Personalised Chocolates

December 1, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

In support of the annual Operation Santa Claus (OSC) charity fundraising project, Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong presents personalised chocolates of a unique flavour – Caramel and Thyme – meticulously created by the hotel’s pastry chef Wins Hung to raise funds for the needy from 1 to 25 December 2017.

The concepts of personalised chocolates echoes the hotel’s theme of love this year, so the chocolate box will begin with the chocolate letter “I” followed by “Love” in a heart shape, and donors may fill in the chocolate box with names, words and even selected emoticons of their choice.  The personalised chocolates are available for sale in the hotel lobby, any of the hotel restaurants and online at https://www.ksleshop.com/i-love-chocolate.

This event marks the 15th year of Kowloon Shangri-La, Hong Kong’s support of OSC.

“I chose caramel for its popularity amongst all ages, and thyme for its distinctive flavour.  Christmas is a season of giving, so I hope donors and chocoholics will find these personalised chocolates fun, yummy and unique.  Most important of all, they will be able to contribute to a good cause.  After all, these chocolates make irresistible Christmas presents,” Chef Wins said.

With a donation of HK$168, guests can purchase an exquisite gift box of personalised chocolates (10 pieces).  The emoticons include a Christmas tree, teddy bear, lovely piggy, baby face, snowman, gingerbread man and smiley.

All proceeds collected through this charity event will go to OSC, an annual charity campaign organised by the South China Morning Post and Radio Television Hong Kong to aid 14 beneficiaries in Hong Kong and help a wide spectrum of people in need, from children and the elderly to mentally and physically challenged people.
