The Glow of Lights at Sungei Wang Plaza

Deepavali also known as the Festival of Lights symbolizes the glorious festival of light and hope. This year, Sungei Wang will be celebrating Deepavali from 13 October to 29 October 2017.

Located in the heart of Golden Triangle, a tourist hotspot, Sungei Wang has decorated with the one of a kind auspicious Kolam this Deepavali. With the theme “The Glow of Lights”, shoppers will be amazed with the 1st Glowing Kolam in city as Sungei Wang wishes to bring a ray of light into the lives of every individual. The Glowing Kolam was beautifully created using vibrant colored rice with the motif of peacock that symbolizes beauty, glory and refinement. Kolam is not just an aesthetic art but it symbolizes prosperity and happiness. With vibrant colors on the Kolam, it symbolizes the unity and harmony relationship of Malaysia’s multicultural society.

In conjunction with Deepavali celebration, Sungei Wang will be having Cilik Bollywood & Ratu Sehari event on 15 October 2017. All shoppers are welcome to watch how the cute kids conquer the runway like professionals. Besides that, Ratu Sehari event will be showcasing the beautiful bridal gowns this joyous Deepavali.

To hype up the mood of Deepavali, shoppers will be treated to enjoy the exquisite traditional Indian dance and experience fun workshops on the 14 & 18 October 2017. Shoppers can also pamper themselves with Henna tattoo available from 14 till 18 October 2017. During the weekends, come and take photo with our talents dressed in Indian Costume and get a free Indian snack “Kacang
Putih”.

To elevate the festive shopping mood, first 20 shoppers who spend a minimum of RM80 daily are entitled for a complimentary Henna hand painting from 14 till 18 October 2017. To continue the joy of Deepavali, first 20 shoppers who spend a minimum of RM50 daily will receive a free pack of Indian snack “Kacang Putih” from 19 till 29 October 2017.
