Royal Plaza on Scotts’ CEOs and Carousel scare up some fun in the spirit of Halloween

October 31, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

This Halloween, Royal Plaza on Scotts brought in the chills and thrills with a spooky dress-up competition between *Chief Experience Officers (CEOs) of different departments. As part of the festivities, Front Office and Carousel CEOs also donned on professional make-up, bringing Halloween right to the hotel’s doorstep.

The dress-up competition was held on Tuesday, 31 October 2017, from 3pm-4pm at the hotel lobby, where each department transformed their chosen CEO according to the theme ‘Your Worst Nightmare’. The competition was stiff, as the various departments tried to outshine each other with their costumes, make-up, and immense creativity.

The walking nightmares paraded around the hotel lobby and Carousel to garner public votes, and gave their best impression of their respective characters. Being mini celebrities of their own, they received plenty of laughter, photo requests, and the occasional wide-eyed look from amused guests.

For the Front Office and Carousel CEOs, preparation began as early as 10am, where professional make-up artists came down to give them a makeover. The CEOs remained in character while going on their everyday duties, from welcoming guests at the Concierge to serving scrumptious plates of food at Carousel. Guests were pleasantly surprised to be served by clowns, jokers, witches and zombies, just to name a few.

This is part of Royal Plaza on Scotts’ Weekly Delight initiative, a weekly event where departments take turns to hand-deliver sweet treats and healthy snacks to offices and back of house to perk up the CEOs’ day. Mini-competitions are also organised to encourage bonding and embracing of festivities to create excitement and memorable moments for all.
General Manager and CEO, Patrick Fiat, who sported a half-face skull look, said, “It is fantastic to see our CEOs so enthusiastic about the event! We believe that a great work environment will translate into great service for our guests.”

Last but not least, when it comes to Halloween, one must not miss out on the décor. The hotel lobby’s staircase landing was decked out with the classic spooktacular combination of spiders, cobwebs and floating grim reapers. At Carousel, guests dined with the company of creepy Halloween pumpkins.

Royal Plaza on Scotts’ CEOs and Carousel scare up some fun in the spirit of Halloween

October 23, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Beware! This Halloween, Royal Plaza on Scotts’ *Chief Experience Officers (CEOs) of various departments will be roaming the hotel lobby and Carousel. Keep a look out, you never know who you are going to bump into!
Themed ‘Your Worst Nightmare’, each department will give their chosen CEO a spine-chilling makeover and the walking nightmares will lurk around the hotel lobby and Carousel. Join in the horror as the public will be able to cast their votes. To thank our CEOs for their effort, the nightmare to emerge victorious will gain possession of shopping vouchers. The event will take place on Tuesday, 31 October at 3pm.
For the complete Halloween experience, CEOs working at the Front Office and Carousel will also undergo a transformation under the capable hands of professional make-up artists.
General Manager and CEO, Patrick Fiat, said, “At RP, we are all about creating and delivering a great guest experience, and this starts with creating a great work experience and environment for our CEOs.”
As part of the Halloween celebrations, Carousel will also bring the perfect spooky night out to your table so fret not if you have no plans for trick or treating! Enjoy the company of creepy Halloween pumpkins and be prepared to feel their evil stares bore into your soul while you feast on.
Confront your fears and indulge in decadent sweet treats such as Scary Scary Night (red velvet delice with cocoa soil and chocolate tree), Eyeball Shooter (raspberry lychee mousse with berry coulis), Black Cat (salted caramel double chocolate cake) and Witch’s Dome (chocolate mousse with rice pudding).
Also, what’s Halloween without Freddy Kreuger, the resident killer in everyone’s worst nightmare? You might feel his presence in the restaurant with desserts like Freddy’s Friday the 13th (marquise with double chocolate mousse) and a special flavour at the ice-cream counter, Freddy’s Halloween Night on Elm Street (raspberry mint ice-cream). Last we heard, it is his favourite way to end every sweet kill.
The Halloween dessert counter will be available during dinner on Tuesday, 31 October. Dinner is available from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at S$76++ for adults and S$46++ for children. Prices are subject to service charge and prevailing government taxes. Guests can contact Carousel at 6589 7799 or[email protected] for enquiries and visit www.carouselbuffet.com.sg for online reservations.
*Chief Experience Officers (CEOs) refer to talents of Royal Plaza on Scotts, as every talent plays a key role. Each touch point is significant to the guests’ experiences.
