Thai U Up @ Sri Petaling: Unique Tomyam Seafood Porridge

June 22, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

It is indeed a nice place to dine and in Sri Petaling being a café place, I had recently found a nice place to crave my Thai temptations. The place by the name of “Thai U Up”. Opening around a year; “Thai U Up” brings you with the delicious Thai delicacies where they use Thai Chefs to prepare the food and cook for you too.
Entering the café, it doesn’t appear to be a traditional Thai Restaurant but more to the usual casual dining restaurant with the open concept where you can see how the cook prepare your meals.
One of the highlight and unique that must try here is of course the Tomyam Seafood Porridge. Have them with the serving either in Hot Pot at RM 29.90++ ( 4 person) and RM 15.00++  ( 2 pax). The hot and spicy broth together with the velvety smooth porridge is indeed irresistible. Comes with the pipping spicy sourish broth that comes with generous portion of seafood.
Kai Hor Bai Toey ( Pandan Chicken)
(S: RM 17.30 / L: RM 33.30)
Enjoy the pandan chicken here where they are well marinated and wrapped in pandan leaf. Fried till perfection, the pandan chicken here remains moist and juicy with the aromatic touch of light pandan flavours in it.

Pla Nung Manao  ( Steamed Fish with Lemon and Chili) ( Seasonal Price)
Being in a Thai Restaurant, no one would say no to this. The fresh siakap fish is being steamed till perfection with the top of lemon and chili. Boost with the complete flavours of the lemon and chilly in it. The lemonly flavours give a burst of sourish taste and the chili burst you with the complete spiciness. What a good combination.

TomYam Thalay  (Creamy Seafood Tomyam Soup) (RM 30.30)
And of course, one must order is also their tomyam. The tomyam comes with the creamy base of soup where each mouthful will burst your sensation with the spicy blend. Sides with the fresh seafood in it. Oh my! I don’t mind for a second bowl.
Gung Nung Nom Sod ( Steam Prawn with Fresh Milk and Egg) (RM 33.30)
If you are going for some seafood, go for their steam prawn with the fresh milk and egg. Perfectly fresh and I am loving the sweetness taste from the prawns.

Pad Pak Gurd Ka -pi ( Fried Pucuk Paku with Shrimp Paste)
Mango with  Sticky Rice (RM 9.30)
Red Ruby in Coconut Milk (RM 7.30)
Sweet Tapioca with Coconut Milk (RM 7.30)
Ends your meal with of course some desserts. Enjoy some of their signatures  includes the Mango with  Sticky Rice (RM 9.30), Red Ruby in Coconut Milk (RM 7.30) and also the Sweet Tapioca with Coconut Milk (RM 7.30)
Overall, food here are indeed delicious for those who love spicy delights. Must try is of course their tomyam, pandan chicken, the Steamboat Porridge and of course the Red Ruby in Coconut Milk.
