The Tranquerah @ Glo Damansara : Truly Malaccan Nyonya Delights

The Tranquerah is one of the current visits and the restaurant is serving Peranakan dishes. Located in the new mall in Petaling Jaya –  Glo Damansara, The Tranquerah brings you a truly Nyonya recipes which is handed down through generations of a Peranakan family from Malacca.
For those who does not know,  The Tranquerah moves from their outlet in Kota Damansara to here (Glo Damansara) . They had retained the beautiful colors and  homey experience in their outlet too. With all the antiques around, it brings you with the nostalgic view and yet Instagram friendly.
Cincaluk Tasting Platter (RM 75) 
Cincaluk is one of the famous Malaccan food where they are made of the fermented small shrimps. Enjoy the lovely platter where the awesome-licious delights are packed with the  crunchy prawns, chicken and squid in cincaluk.  It brings you with the crunchy bites with the light saltiness from the cincaluk in it. Nicely done.

 

Ayam Buah Keluak (RM 36 / RM 66) 
One of the traditional dish enjoyed by the nyonyas. The ayam buah keluak is absolutely a must to try here if you are looking for a truly Malaccan delicacies. The keluak which is  poisonous in its raw fruit form must be buried underground, soaked and rinsed before cooked.The process is tedious as it takes up to  2 weeks to prepare. The buah keluak is then being cooked together with the chicken leaving you with the rich and robust flavours.



Nyonya Chap Chye (RM 25) 

One of the exclusive items in The Tranquerah, signature stir fried style vegetables cooked together with the tang hoon leaving you with the hint of sweetness in it.

 

Udang Masak Lemak Nenas (RM 55)
For Udang Masak Lemak Nenas, enjoy this awesomelicious creamy based delights where it is packed with the aroma and spices in it. It is indeed goes well with the plain white rice.

Asides, they do have great lunch promotion too. Enjoy their set lunch promotion which is at RM 19.90++ that comes with a drink and a mini salad.  Choose from the Tingkat Rice St, Nyonya Curry Chicken, Nyonya Beef Rendang to name a few.

 

Buah Keluak Fried Rice. 

The Keluak Fried Rice is pretty unusual and it is rarely being find in Klang Valley. Enjoy their signature fried rice together with the special sambal keluak and served with the minced chicken and sunny sides up.

Salted Egg Fried Rice.

Chendol Melaka (RM 7.90)
Ice Kachang (RM 7.90)
Bubur Cha Cha (RM 7.90)
Gula Sago Melaka (RM 7.90)
Ends your meal with their desserts as well. Enjoy the variety desserts which is from their menu which includes chendol, ice kachang, bubur cha cha and gula sago Melaka
