Table 23, Jalan Mesui : A hidden gem of Good Food!

March 15, 2017 by StrawberrY Gal

Table 23; a cosy restaurant which is nested Jalan Mesui, a few lanes at the back of the busy Changkat Bukit Bintang.
We visited the restaurant few years ago and we completely falling in love with the food there. And we went back this round to sample their new menu which brings you with a twist of Western and Malaysian.
Beef Goulash (RM 32)
Enjoy  the signature here which is the beef goulash where it brings the twist of Asia in it.  The slow cooked beef slices where they are cooked for 3 hours together with the herbs in it. Tender and juicy meat which is definitely melts in your mouth with the cubes of carrots with it. The sauce remains flavourful but with slight saltiness, neverless when you dipped them with the garlic bread; it is just perfect. Love how they make the garlic bread where they are fragrantly done with the crispy bites.
Coriander Poached Salmon (RM 38)
This is one of a must to go. We really amazed how chef had made this awesome dish. The Salmon is being poached under the coriander flavoured water for 7 minutes and then it is served with their homemade tartar sauce which is added with thai basil with the lemon hint in it. Try this awesome-licious delights that will definitely make you come back for more.
Basil Pesto & Prawns (RM 32)
Awesome-licious delights and it is indeed a perfect combination where the pesto is well cooked with thai basil and shallots in it. Added together with the bird-eye chillies and topped with pine-nut. This is indeed a great one to enjoy but there is light spiciness in it.
Tiramisu (RM 25)
Nothing beats a desserts with alcohol. Made from the Italian Mascarpone Cheese, Sponge Fingers with a shot of Espresso and Kahlua. It is just my taste and I am indeed impressed.
And now they have also Gin collection in their restaurant. With over 20 types of gin collected all over the world. If you are a big fans of gin, do make your way to enjoy these as they have a unique and wide range of gin.
