Pun Chun Noodles, Bidor: Disappointed Wan Tan Noodles

February 22, 2017 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review Leave a Comment

Well, we had our long drive back from Penang and we decided to give Pun Chun a try after years we had not been there. I could say back 15 years ago we visited Pun Chun when I am still a student or perhaps fresh graduate. We finally returned back for its wantan noodles as their duck noodles had finished.

It is indeed a disappointment and we will never go back perhaps till they improved! Well, business here maybe is not that good 10 years back where we need to wait for our seats to grab a plate of wantan noodles. Perhaps, for those who are going back to Teluk Intan have a new route where they can by-pass the Bidor town.

Wanton Noodles (RM 7.00)

Back to the food, it is indeed a disappointment for me and my family to go there. We had the wanton noodles where they comes with three (3) wanton where it is filled with the pork and  prawns in it. And comes together with the plate of noodles which is tossed with soy sauce. Well, we found that the soup and the noodles are filled with the “kan sui” taste in it. Disappointment! The wantan are no longer that pulpy and we can taste a distinct taste of pork in it.

Not just that, the food is overpriced with the quantity of food is served here. Perhaps, I could get better ones in Teluk Intan with the lower price tag.
Location : 38-40, Jalan Besar, 35500 Bidor, Perak.
