Toast & Co @ Petaling Street: Open Faced Toast Fare

December 29, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Petaling Street had converted into more new eateries and café. And recently, Toast & Co is one of latest craze here. Located inside Hotel Grocer’s Inn; the restaurant brings you with a brand new café converted from the old café by the name of The Front Door.
Bringing you with the classic appearance and olden feel of houses; but one can actually amazed on how it is transform from a olden house to a café. As most of café –hopper knows, you can actually enjoy having a cozy and relaxing time here enjoying a cuppa of coffee and toast.  What is the highlights here if course “ The Open Faced Toast” .

What is Open Faced Toast ?
Open Faced Toast is actually referring to a toast  that is topped with the various ingredients on top and it is not covered with another toast. Open Faced Toast is very famous in western countries and now you can enjoy them here at Toast & Co.
Bringing you with 3 options – Meat, Vegetarian and Desserts Toast, Toast & Co indeed brings you with with 9 choices of toast all together. Have them in set meal for 3 person or ala-carte.

Toast 3 (RM 22)
The combination of pilled beef, beef bacon, caramelised onions, mozzarella and cheddar cheese in it. The combination is just awesome with the bites of the crispy chunky beef stripes on top with the rich caramelised cheesy delights.

Toast 2 (RM 16)
Light bites but simply addictive. The toast is complete with the grilled chicken breast, basil, pesto, Parmesan cheese and also the sun-dried tomatoes. A healthier version of toast with light bites but the taste is simply awesome.
Toast 5  ( RM 20)
Savour till the fullest with the tender juicy smoked duck with the sautéed mushroom with the homemade cheese sauce. The smoked duck is packed with flavours and well infused with the blend of sautéed mushroom in it.
Toast 7  (RM 14)
Enjoy the delicious sautéed mushroom with cream and thyme topped with chive and drizzle  with olive oil. I love the creamy and fragrant taste of the mushroom itself.
For those who are looking for a sweet version, they do have them as well
Toast 8 (RM 15)
One of the signature and best seller here is of course the toast with the chunky peanut butter, together with nuttela spread, baby marshmellow and chocolate drizzled. The taste brings you with the sweetness in it and well compliments with the soft marshmellow.

Toast 9 (RM 14)
For those who prefer sweet and sourish combination, grab the Berry ones where you can enjoy the combination of Berry Coulis, Homemade Sugary Spread with the Fresh Berries and Honey all together.

Peanut Banana Cake (RM 12)
If you not into toast, they do serves a variety of cakes as well. We had  their best selling peanut banana cake where it brings you with moist texture and the thick texture of peanut in it.
If you are looking for a nice cozy place for some light delights, why not visit Toast & Co to try them.
Enjoy them with either coffee or home blend juices of your choice
