Available every Saturday from September 24 to October 29, 2016, the afternoon tea is inspired by Bulgari’s latest additions to the 2016 DIVAS’ DREAM collection to reflect the highly coveted brand’s aesthetic quest.
The 2016 DIVAS’ DREAM collection celebrates the secret diva inside every woman – a sensual, unique part of herself that shines innately, radiating with her own unique charisma. From elegant mother-of-pearls to rich emeralds, and from radiant pink sapphires to vivid malachite, the gorgeously presented afternoon tea recreates the collection’s signature gemstones, bringing the essence of DIVAS’ DREAM from expensive showcases to dining tables of Tosca.
Specially created by highly distinguished Spanish pastry chef Rafael Charquero, the afternoon tea features an exquisite array of savory and sweet delights to tempt even the most discerning gourmet. Back in his native Spain since September 2015, Chef Charquero spent the previous five years at Michelin-starred II Ristorante Luca Fantin, as head Pastry Chef. Having worked around the world in some of the finest restaurants and trained with the most prestigious chefs, Chef Charquero will showcase his talent and passion in the Bulgari DIVAS’ DREAM Afternoon Tea at Tosca.
Resembling the subtle radiance of mother-of-pearl, delicately sliced scallop Carpaccio is beautifully laid in a vanilla apple broth, Madre Perla promises to be a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. Blue Entremets is a clever blend of tea, jasmine and milk chocolate, offering a perfect balance of smooth chocolate and aromatic floral notes with a slight tannic finish. Playing with the vibrant colors of pistachio and raspberry, Green Cake is an epicurean gem that rivals the allure of emeralds and rubies. As suggested by its name, the cherry-infused Rosso Tarts carries a bright rosy color to evoke the senses and bewitch one’s taste buds. Cabbage and beetroot exude the charm of malachite and pink sapphire, whereas Tonka beans add a sweet scent of vanilla, spices and almond to Zaffiro.
