Well Hotel Bangkok introduces Food Therapy Concept for a well-balanced lifestyle

July 4, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Focusing on the healthy-food-that-tastes-good concept, Well Hotel Bangkok launches new eight set menus under the Food Therapy section at the hotel’s signature restaurant Eat Well Cafe. With the belief in balancing what the body needs, the creation of the food therapy menu is based on the eight common symptoms found among the city dwellers, jet setters, business people and office workers.

The Food Therapy concept is simple. It is to give what the body needs or lacks. The culinary team handpicks the high quality produce to create the simple yet vitamins and nutrient-filled menu. The eight sets cover eight symptoms including Computer Vision Syndrome, Office Syndrome, Stress & Anxiety, Cold & Flu, Jetlag, Period Pain/PMS, Sore throat and Migraine & Headache. Each set comes with a selected drink to compliment the meal.

Mr. Danai Wansom, Managing Director of Well Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20 says, “We spent months working on the healthy food concept that fits our Well Hotel brand. We have seen the healthy eating trend in the past few years whether it be low-carb, clean food, vegetarian etc. They are all good but we need to present something different. So we came up with this Food Therapy concept.”

“Our food is healthy, simple and tastes good! It has the herbs, greens, grains, protein, good carb and (the good) fat! It is a basic idea that has been practiced for years that you give what your body needs.  For example, when you have a cold, you need Vitamin C. When your eyes are tired, you need more of the Vitamin A to boost the eye health. That’s the idea for our Food Therapy,” Mr. Danai added.

Special Promotion (Lunch and dinner, Now – 31 August 2016)
Enjoy 25% off on all eight Food Therapy sets. Simply snap and post a photo of any of the Food Therapy set on your social media (Instagram or Facebook), with hashtag #foodtherapy #wellhotelbangkok, and check in at Eat Well Café.

Recommended menu
Computer Vision Syndrome (790 B++)
–       Goji Berry, Carrot and Tomato Soup
–       Beef Steak with Arugula, Witloof, Romaine Leaves, Broccoli, Cherry Tomato, Walnuts, Quinoa, Boiled Eggs served with Blue Chees Cereal Bread Tartine and Red Wine Herbal Vinaigrette
–       Carrot and Lime Shake or Lime Juice
This set is good for those who spend long hours in front of a computer screen, tablet or mobile device, thus your eyes get tired. The set is packed with food sources of Vitamin A, Beta Carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc and Zeaxantine.
Office Syndrome Set (590 B++)
–       Sweet Potato and Banana Salad with honey mustard dressing
–       Sesame and Almond crusted Salmon Burger with Yoghurt Sauce
–       Berry Tea or Yoghurt Smoothie
This is one of the most common symptom found among the office workers who sit long hours at the desk in the same position using computer. Your neck, back and shoulders get stiff, your eyes are sore, not much body movement etc. Salmon contains good fatty acid – Omega 3 that helps with cardio-vascular health, joint protection, improve mood and cognition and eyes benefits. Sweet Potato has a surprising number of nutrient categories responsible for the health benefits of this underappreciated tuber. Among these categories are antioxidants, anti-inflammatory nutrients, and blood sugar-regulating nutrients. Each category brings with it valuable health benefits.
