Refreshed Bob’s Bar offers a true quintessence of Caribbean with “A Night at Varadero”

On 23 July, Capella Singapore celebrates the revamp of its vibrant Bob’s Bar – a refreshing renewal of its décor, scrumptious Cuban delicacies and rum-based cocktail offerings – with “A Night at Varadero”.

“After constant feedback and refinement, we are excited to finally unveil our new Bob’s Bar. With a goal to bring our guests a genuine Cuban atmosphere, we have injected a dose of vibrancy into the décor, complemented with an array of new food and cocktail offerings curated by our award-winning Executive Chef David Senia. Enhancing its distinctively Caribbean experience, the one-night-only revelry on 23 July offers an authentic slice of Cuba including the bar’s first-ever Salsa dance session, its signature Havana barbeque station, pop-up Mojito and Rum Bars, a special Rum


Appreciation Masterclass, as well as live music all the way into the night. 
Tipplers can delight in the live Mojito Bar serving Bob’s Bar’s signature Mojito, enjoy a cocktail its pop-up Rum Bar, or discover the art of rum tasting during the special Rum Appreciation Masterclass, where drink connoisseurs can select their own individual flight of three choices out of 30 different types of rum.

Music lovers can enjoy the lively band performances and Latin music all through the night; while food aficionados can savour classic Cuban cuisine with a twist, including the Bob’s Bar signature Havana Live BBQ station, Cuban Sliders which are mini burgers with juicy spiced wagyu patties, Mojito Ceviche made up of seabass marinated in lime juice as well as Chicken Rice Salad Cubano Style. To satisfy attendees with a sweet tooth, desserts served at the festival include the well-loved Bob’s Churros, melt-in-your-mouth Spanish doughnuts deep fried to perfection and Bananito, two hot crispy bananas served with

A Night at Varadero will start from 7pm till late while the salsa session will commence at 6pm. The first 50 bookings will also receive a Mojito with compliments of Bob’s Bar. Moving beyond stellar food and service, Bob’s Bar brings to life the sounds and sights of the famed Cuban nightlife with its new weekend entertainment line-up, Bob’s Vibes.

Guests can wind down to Latin house music on Saturdays from 5pm onwards while families and friends can enjoy live music with a twist of local beats performed by the three-piece instrumental band on Sundays 3pm to 6.30pm.

In conjunction with the revamp, Bob’s Bar has also refreshed cocktail menu in entirety, including an introduction of 15 enticing signature rum-based cocktails. Some of which include Navegante, Capella Singapore’s very own brand of bespoke rum hailing from


Barbados and specially crafted by master blender Richard Seale.

Signature highlights include the refreshing Mojito, featuring Navegante and perks the taste buds with its minty notes, perfectly complementing the tropical island experience. Bob’s Old Fashioned, another top seller, is an elegant Cuban rendition of a classic cocktail harmoniously balanced with flavours of orange zest and homemade spiced rum.

Enhanced with thematic garnishing and intriguing serving vessels, the cocktails’ sensational tastes bring out the rich flavours, colours and spirits of the West Indies.
