SPRING REUNION IN THE CITY AT PULLMAN KUALA LUMPUR CITY CENTRE

February 5, 2016 by StrawberrY Gal

Celebrate the arrival of the Chinese New Year with a spring reunion at Pullman Kuala Lumpur Hotel & Residences’ Cantonese restaurant, Tai Zi Heen from 18 January to 22 February. Whilst preserving the Chinese tradition of the ‘reunion dinner’, the festive menu at Tai Zi Heen this year is specially crafted with a view to create a harmonious blend of signature Cantonese festive dishes.
Ushering in the year of the Monkey, Tai Zi Heen offers three selections of a 9-course festive set menu packed with must have Chinese New Year dishes which will create a perfect reunion celebration. The festive set menus start from RM1788 per table, with portions for 8 to 10 persons. Each set menu includes a choice of Yee Sang, followed by vegetables, soup, poultry, seafood and ends with the resident chef’s special dessert. For families or guests who wish to dine in smaller groups, they can opt for the a la carte menu which features the chef’s recommended dishes.
This year, Tai Zi Heen introduces its new Crispy Whitebait Yee Sang, where the whitebait is fried to a crisp and golden brown in colour, paired with a variety of condiments and signature sauce which offers refreshing and crunchy bites after the toss. Other choices of Tai Zi Heen’s Yee Sang are Vegetarian, Salmon, Hamachi, Abalone and Four Seasons Prosperity Yee Sang (a combination of butterfish, salmon, tuna and jellyfish). Enjoy supplemental orders of your favourite ingredients for a more auspicious toss. Take away options for all Yee Sang are also available.  What I love about the yee sang is it brings you a crispy bites and every mouthful is amazingly good.
Double – Boiled Chicken and Vegetable Soup with Fish Maw and Sun- Dried Scallops
The hearty bowl of soup comes completely awesome with all the goodies in one bowl. The soup is packed with the boiled chicken together with the fish maw and also sun dried scallops. Every sip of the soup is simply sweet and nourishing.
Braised Sea Cucumber with Morels Mushroom, Sun – Dried Oysters and Baby Pak Choy
Braised for hours, the sea cucumber is cooked together with the dried oysters and baby pak choy. Awesomely good especially the sea cucumber where the sea cucumber comes simply chewy. It is simply good and awesome

Crispy Prawns Coated with Lemon Dressing, Tropical Fruit Salsa, and Tabiko Caviar
The dish comes simply good where the fresh huge prawns is well stir fried till perfection. The prawns comes awesomely good with the lovely appetizing lemon dressing and the fruit salsa. Topped with the tabiko caviar which makes the dish awesomely good.
Steamed Dragon-Tiger Grouper with Mushrooms in Soy Sauce, Spring Onions and Fresh Coriander.
This is awesomely good where the huge fish is well steamed till perfection. The fish comes awesomely good with the flaky texture of the meat and top with the spring onions, and fresh coriander.
Stir fried Glutinous rice with Chinese Style Preserved Duck
This is simply unique. The glutinous rice is simply well stir fried till perfection and it is topped with the Chinese Style Preserved Duck. The dish comes awesomely good and unique where you can taste the aromatic blend of the glutinous rice together with the imported preserved duck.
Deep-fried sesame balls with Salted Egg Yolk Custard and Sweet Potato
I love the unique taste of it especially the deep fried sesame balls where instead of inserting the salted egg yolk in it. The taste comes awesomely special and good. It is pretty unique overall.
