DINING FOR PROSPERITY AT SHANG PALACE, SHANGRI-LA HOTEL, KUALA LUMPUR

From 8 January to 22 February, have a bountiful feast with family, friends and colleagues at Shang Palace to usher in the Year of the Monkey.

There is an a la carte menu filled with auspicious dishes such as Poon Choy or Braised Premium Chinese new treasure combination, Braised Bird’s Nest Soup with Lobster Meat and Shredded Fish Maw, Canadian Lobster Duet, Wok-fried Scallops and Stuffed Spiked Sea Cucumber with Shrimp Sauce and Braised Rice with Sun-dried Seafood and Abalone Sauce, among other dishes.

There are also five Prosperity menus of eight or nine courses: Great Prosperity Set Menu at RM221 nett per person, Rich Fortune Set Menu at RM455 nett per person, Happy Reunion Set Menu at RM2319 nett per table of 10 persons, Wealth Treasures Set Menu at RM3368 nett per table of 10 and Immense Wealth Set Menu at RM5816 nett per table of 10 persons.

All the set menus begin with Yee Sang, and end with Combination of Steamed Traditional Ninko coated with nuts and Deepfried Sesame Balls.

Seven varieties of Yee Sang can also be ordered a la carte, for dine-in or takeaway from 8 January to 22 February. These are: Korean Snow Pear Yee Sang, Crispy Fish Skin and Jellyfish Flower Yee Sang, Salmon Fish Yee Sang, Japanese Tuna Yee Sang, Sliced Abalone Yee Sang, Geoduck Clam Yee Sang and Canadian Lobster Yee Sang.
