HARBOUR RESTAURANT AT THE HARBOURVIEW PROUDLY PRESENTS “LOVE AT FIRST BITE” WAGYU DINNER BUFFET

November 14, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Promotion Leave a Comment

“Finely marbled”, “melt in the mouth”, “succulent” and “buttery soft” all translate into the Wagyu delights we have prepared! This fall and winter, Harbour Restaurant at The Harbourview is pleased to present our “Love at First Bite” Wagyu Dinner Buffet, which redefines Wagyu cuisine with the art of cooking creatively applied to the fresh, hearty meaty beef imported from Japan and Australia.  You will love not only the lavish choices of Wagyu dishes on the menu, but also the complimentary Grilled Miyazaki A4 Wagyu Beef that every diner will receive!

Start off your meal of the night with the fragrant appetizer Drunken Wagyu Beef Chuck. The Australian shoulder beef is vacuum marinated with Chef-made gravy and yellow rice wine before slow cooking for 16 hours. After marinating for 2 to 3 days until it has fully soaked up the sauce, the beef is ladled with rose wine, making the dish aromatic.

After the appetizer, enjoy an extensive array of unique Wagyu main dishes featuring rich flavours and textures to enthrall the palate. Here are the Chef’s recommendations:

1. Braised Wagyu Beef Cheek with Anchovy and Port Wine
The Australian Wagyu cheek is slowly cooked for 4 to 5 hours with thick sauce made from mixed vegetables, red wine, gravy, anchovy and Port wine. You will be excited by its rich scent of bouquet and its soft and juicy texture.

2. Baked Wagyu Beef Roll with Bacon and Puff Pastry
This is a dish that you might become addicted to. The minced Wagyu beef is fried with celery, onion garlic, thyme and cucumber, and then slowly cooked for an hour at a constant temperature after being rolled in bacon. The roll is wrapped with pastry and baked until golden yellow. Seasoned with Porcini juice, the dish features a crispy and soft texture layer created with diversified ingredients and alternate cooking methods applied.

3. Grilled Miyazaki A4 Wagyu Beef (One serving is offered for each patron)
How can you miss the complimentary Grilled Miyazaki A4 Wagyu Beef served at the cooking station? Cooked to perfection, the Japanese beef grilled with salt and black pepper is the highlight of the night thanks to its strong aroma. Don’t wait to enjoy it! The succulent beef is so soft and tender that it almost melts in the mouth! What a pity that each diner can receive only one serving during the night.

4. Pho with Wagyu Beef
Just as its name implies, the soul of a Pho is its soup. Cooked for 14 to 15 hours, the soup is prepared with plenty of ingredients including Vietnamese spices, cardamom, ginger and fresh ox bone. Enjoy the Australian M16 Wagyu beef slice with the Pho, and don’t forget to add a local flavour to the Pho with the Vietnamese condiments such as fish sauce, Thai chili and Perilla.

5. Wagyu Burger Steak with Yuzu Mayo
You will fall in love with the dish with your first bite of the steak made with minced Wagyu beef and onion. Our chef flavours the burger with specially made grapefruit juice mixed with grapefruit powder, grapefruit sauce and Japanese Mayonnaise salad sauce. The sweet sauce enriches the taste of the soft and succulent beef so you can’t wait for the next bite.

6. Wagyu Beef Sushi
Both raw and cooked Japanese beef sushi will be alternately served during the buffet, giving you a delicious choice of Wagyu sushi.

In addition to the above key recommendations, fresh seafood such as Canadian snow crab legs, and New Zealand and US oysters are available in turns. This fall and winter, we have specially added the new items, razor clam and Chile red shrimps to the assorted seafood platter on Fridays to Sundays. International cuisines like assorted sushi and sashimi, grilled lamb and more are still available.

Exquisite desserts always mark a perfect end to a lavish buffet. The recommended desserts of “Love At First Bite” Wagyu Dinner Buffet include Bailey’s Cheesecake, an aromatic cake made with Kraft cream cheese, Bailey’s and chocolate chips with a cookie base; Raspberry White Chocolate Cake, a beautifully coated Lint-chocolate cake layered with raspberry jam that has already captured your heart before the first bite; and Mini Chestnut Custard Tart, a bite-sized crispy tart topped with Custard cream, Rum and chestnut puree. MOVENPICK ice cream and other sweet offerings such as Chocolate Parfait, Waffle, Classical Cotton Candy, Chocolate Fountain and more are also delicately prepared to satisfy your sweet tooth.
