DUBAI WELCOMES FIRST EVER MEGA FAMILIARISATION TOUR FROM MALAYSIA

November 20, 2015 By StrawberrY Gal - Travel, Travel News Leave a Comment

Dubai today welcomes its first ever mega familiarisation trip from Malaysia, offering select participants an opportunity to get a first-hand experience of the remarkable city.

Jointly hosted by Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) and Emirates Airline, the tour runs from 19-23 November 2015. More than 60 frontline agents from both top-tier business events and leisure operators were selected to join the four-day itinerary showcasing what Dubai has to offer as a world-class business and leisure destination.

Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Tourism, said, “Malaysia is one of our key source markets in the Far East region, thanks to the close linkages between Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates. In 2014, 46,000 Malaysians visited Dubai, and we hope to welcome many more in the years to come. The frontline agents, who are the primary contact points for Malaysian travellers, will have the chance to see Dubai in person this week and share their unforgettable experiences with their customers once they return home.”

Alongside the familiarisation tour, an incentive campaign will be launched to encourage the participating agents to showcase Dubai to customers. Sponsored by Dubai Tourism and Emirates Airline, two trips to Dubai will be given away to two winners who prove to be the best performers in terms of Dubai packages sold. To encourage more participants to share their Dubai travel experiences, those agents who earn the highest number of likes on their Dubai social media posts will also be awarded prizes.

Rida International is the appointed ground handler for the group, which will stay at the Raintree Hotel in Deira and the Holiday Inn Dubai – Al Barsha. As well as a series of hotel tours at both five-star business hotels and affordable three- to four star hotels, the itinerary will also include an eye-opening city tour and adventurous desert safari, designed to showcase the rich diversity of the destination.
