One of the famous place for some locals delights in Malacca, Jonker 88 have them all. Located on the famous Jonker Street, Jonker 88 is famous for its Cendol. Perhaps this shop is a great place to take a rest while enjoying the cooling iced Baba Chendol.
We were there pretty early and could not find much food in town. And the shop had just start operating so we make our visit there. In here, you can find a variety of Malaccan famous delights and some of the famous item from Jonker 88 includes the Baba Laksa and the Nyonya Laksa.
The Baba Laksa is one of the signature there.It is basically a noodle in sweet coconut milk soup, served with some cucumber and onion slices, tofu pok and a spoonful of tuna

Nothing to shout about as it is an item we order for little Grace since she could not take spicy.
The Dry Noodles with some curry with it comes good too.
Don’t miss their chendol. The Baba Chendol which is served with the heavenly gula melaka (palm sugar) drizzled all over the mound of shaved ice. Nice and delicious. And served with generous amount of chedol with it.
We also had the Gula Sago Melaka. One of my favorites where the sago is drenched with the generous amount of coconut milk and topped with the creamy sweet gula Melaka on top.
