DELIGHT IN 50 LOCAL FAVOURITES AS CAROUSEL CELEBRATES SG50 AND SINGAPORE FOOD FESTIVAL 2015

Embark on a uniquely Singaporean gastronomic experience and relish “A Fresh Taste of Tradition”, the theme for SFF2015. Carousel’s talented team of chefs, helmed by Executive Chef Darren Ong, will showcase special dishes such as Singapore Laksa Yong Tau Foo, a combination of two popular local dishes, Homemade Jumbo Satay, a more flavourful and tender version of the original, Mee Siam Goreng, Carousel’s dry and rich adaptation of the traditional mee siam and Stuffed Crab in Spicy Chilli Sauce with Man Tous, a fuss-free way to consume the signature Singapore dish. Other highlights on the menu include Pan-fried Carrot Cake, Char Kway Teow, Hokkien Mee with XO Sauce, Singapore Rojak, Prawn Noodles and Roti Prata.

Conclude this mid-afternoon feast on a sweet note with a lavish selection of local desserts such as Steamed Kueh Tutu, Ice Kachang, Cheng Tng with Longans and Ginkgo Nuts, Bubur Cha Cha and Pandan Kaya Cake. Two menus will be on rotation throughout the promotion period.

The special high tea menus are available during the promotion period from 3.30pm to 5.30pm. Prices are at $42++ per adult and $27++ per child (4 to 11 years old) from Mondays to Thursdays and at $48++ per adult and $32++ per child from Fridays to Sundays and public holidays. About Carousel

A whole new culinary experience awaits at the hotel’s trendy restaurant Carousel as it promises to delight taste buds as well as pamper other senses in an unique ambience where the diner is the focus of attention. The restaurant takes on a modern contemporary look with hip and stylish colourful furniture matching the four unique themed seating areas within – the Terrace, the Living Room, the State Rooms and the Verandah. Carousel was voted into AsiaOne People’s Choice Awards’ Hall of Fame as ‘Best Buffet Restaurant’. The title has been bestowed to the restaurant for six consecutive years since 2010.

The Singapore Food Festival (SFF) returns for the 22nd year with a special edition in celebration of SG50. Themed “A Fresh Taste of Tradition”, SFF2015 will honour generations of food heritage by flavours from the past and reinterpreting culinary traditions that will push the envelope of Singapore’s dining scene. The 16-day festival will take place in various locations around Singapore from 17 July to 2 August 2015. SFF2015 will be a celebration of Singapore’s best local food and talents.
