STEAM CUISINE @ TASTE ENCLAVE CLASSIC , PAVILION KL

May 21, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

steam cuisine

For those who are familiar about the Avenue K Food Court, you would heard about Taste Enclave where they have their branches in Pavilion too. Comparing to the one in Avenue K; here it is slightly different where they have their staff to serve you with menu rather than self service concept. The place is simply out of the way from the usual food court we known about in Pavilion, but the food court is located at the 2nd floor of the mall where it is just near to the Victoria Secret Outlet. The place here comes simply cozy and they have VIP room too.

In here, there goes a new restaurant which had opened not long ago which is the Steam Cuisine where they are focusing in steam rice as well as soup. Aside, they also have some dim sum selection in their menu as well.
steam cuisine
A variety dim sum can be found in their menu which includes the shrimp dumpling (RM 7.80) which is served with the generous portion of pulpy shrimps in it. Awesome.
steam cuisine
As for the the siew mai (RM 6.30) come simply meaty and moist. Just as it supposed to be.
steam cuisine
For the Shanghai Dumpling (RM 8.30) , the apperance might be disappointing but the taste still maintains on the moist texture with the soupy delights in it.
steam cuisine
If you are a big fans of custard (RM 6.30); the bun comes nice with the custard ooze out from the bun itself.
steam cuisine
Lo Mai Kai (RM 7.30)
Served with huge portion of chicken meat together with the sticky glutinous rice. Awesome!

Not to be missed, the soup is being cooked for hours and here you goes with the 8 options of soup available from the menu. Most of the soup are using the double boil techniques. This is where the food is covered with water and put in a covered ceramic jar and the jar is then steamed for several hours. This technique ensures there is no loss of liquid from the food being cooked.

steam cuisine
One of the best seller is the Double Steamed Yellow Cucumber Soup (RM 13.80) where the soup comes simply awesome with the aromatic taste of the sweet soup from the old cucumbe itself. In Steam Cuisine, the soup is well cooked till perfecton with the scallops and also the old cucumber. The Old Cucumber Soup is good for “cooling” the body system and it is also ood the skin and helps prevent aging! It is also high in dietary fiber, calcium, iron and rich in vitamin A, B6, and C.

steam cuisine
Next is the Double Steamed Lotus Roots and Peanut Soup (RM 13.80) where it is one of my favorite soup in all. The soup comes with the flavourful taste which is not to be missed here.
steam cuisine
We also had the Steamed Old Coconut Soup (RM 13.80). This is where you can fully appreciate the warm, sweet flavours of the old coconut.

steam cuisine
A dessert and yet a soup on its own- The Double Steamed Pear and Pork Ribs (RM 14.00). It is a light tasting and thirst-quenching soup which is perfect for our hot climate as snow pears are known for their cooling properties. Some of the benefits include improving blood circulation as well as strengthening respiratory system. Aside from enjoying the double boiled soup here, why not order the steam rice too. In here, they do have a variety of steam rice to enjoy which includes the Steamed Minced Ginger Chicken Rice (RM 11.90), Nyonya Fish Rice (RM 15.80) and more.
steam cuisine
The Steamed Ginger Chicken Rice (RM 11.90) is indeed well done with the moist texture of the nice and generous portion of chicken meat in it. It’s ginger taste is indeed pugent and those who are a big fans of ginger would completely falling in love with this.
steam cuisine
The Steamed Preserved Cabbage and Minced Pork Rice (RM 15.80) comes more appetizing with the taste of preserved vegetables in it.
steam cuisine
As for the Steamed Wax Sausage and Chicken Rice (RM 15.80) is something to try off. Meat lover would definite to fall in love with this where the sausages were juicy and it compliments well with the rice.
steam cuisine
Fragrantly done- Steamed Pork Ribs with Black Beans Past Rice (RM 15.80) comes simply delicious with the fragrant blank beans and the juicy pork ribs. Awesomely good.
steam cuisine
For those who prefer some kick of spiciness, the Steamed Nyonya Fish Rice (RM 15.80) will capture your heart with the sweet, soury and spicy sensation.

If you are looking for an affordable lunch or dinner in Pavilion, Steam Cuisine perhaps is your choice with the Non Halal food at affordable price.
