Chef Uwe, newly appointed Executive Chef of Le Méridien Cyberport
Le Méridien Cyberport announces the appointment of Mr. Uwe Lasczyk as the new Executive Chef.
Chef Uwe is a German national. His years of apprenticing and learning took him from Germany into Europe, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. He has previously held the Executive Chef position with prestigious international hotel chains in Australia, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Beirut, Taipei and Istanbul. Chef Uwe graduated from the Technical College for Gastronomy in Bavaria, Germany, with a Professional Chefs Certification. He also attended various certification courses on leadership skills, training and communication and people management skills. His general management and concept development skills have been sharpened during many restaurant opening and concept renovations. Chef Uwe has always been active in promoting the culinary trade. He is fluent in German and English.
In his new position at Le Méridien Cyberport, Chef Uwe will oversee all of the Hotel’s food and beverage offerings which include Prompt, the All Day Dining Restaurant, Nam Fong, the Chinese Restaurant, Restaurant & Bar Umami, the Japanese Restaurant, PSI Bar, as well as In-Room Dining.
In line with overall style of Le Méridien Cyberport, Chef Uwe will bring new culinary ideas and influences to the hotel’s food and beverage offerings.
Chef Alex, newly appointed Pastry Chef of Le Méridien Cyberport
Chef Alex Chan has newly joined the culinary team of Le Méridien Cyberport as the Pastry Chef. With nearly 30 years of experience in the hotel industry including some of Hong Kong’s notable international chain hotels, Chef Alex is a well experienced chef with recognizable achievement. Chef Alex had won the Bronze award at the Pastry Display Category in Hong Kong International Culinary Classic 2001, as well as Gold with Distinction Award at the Gourmet Team Challenge in the same contest in 2005.
Chef Alex is ready to bring new creations and perspectives in the pastry offerings to Le Méridien Cyberport.

The all new Semi Dinner Buffet at Prompt is starting from May 2015, every Monday to Thursday dinner period. The Semi Dinner Buffet features a wide range of buffet selection of appetizers + desserts, in addition to the 9 options of main course in the mini a la carte menu that will be regularly updated.
