SOI 19 THAI STEAMBOAT & BBQ @ PETALING JAYA

January 21, 2015 by StrawberrY Gal

SOI19

Located a few blocks away from the famous Thai Restaurant- Khunthai, you will spot another restaurant which is Soi-19 where the restaurant with the cosy environment and the thatched roof where wooden dining sets, an overhead projector as well as the bamboo barriers make up the alfresco dining space.

SOI19
Step inside, with the lovely colors of walls and be prepared of the great serving of Thai Style Mookata prepared by their experience chef.
SOI19
In here, they are famed for their Moo Kata Steamboat where you can find the variety of ingredients to cook with and the soup choice of tomyam or chicken soup. The steamboat set with the choice of Mix Set comes generously with the choice of Combo Mix (RM 58.00) where you can have 300g chicken meat, 200g of pork meat, 5 pcs of prawns and also 100g of squid with it. Served together with some vegetables, glass noodles and egg. The delights is accompanied with 5 choices of sauces from a non-spicy sauce to piping hot chilly with it.
SOI19
For meat lover, they can grab the choice of meat-licious delights for their Mookata Set too. The porklicious set (RM 23.00) is complete with 300g of sliced pork, 150g of liver as well as 150 g of pork sirloin with it.
SOI19
The soup comes flavourful and ingredients comes fresh. It is well marinated and the meat remains is moist after the barbecue. Deliciously done.
SOI19
If you are looking for soup version, try their Thai Jim Jum Steamboat Set. Served in a claypot with the choice of clear tom yam soup or chicken soup. We had the Clear Tomyam soup which is piping spicy and umph! For a group of 6 pax, you may try the Combo Set (RM 48.00) that comes with 200g of chicken, 200g of pork, 100g of squid, 4 pieces of prawn, Vegetables, Sohun as well as 4 sticks of crab meat ball / sotong balls with it.
SOI19
Besides the Mookata, Soi 19 do serve Chicken Choi Salad (RM 12.00) which is a good one too. The sour and spicy combination with the minced chicken as well as prawns with it. Served together with it is the shredded cabbage, carrots as well as cashewnuts. The salad comes simply spicy as well.

SOI19
The Soi 19 Special Soup ( Tom Yum Talay) is where the spicy tomyam with the glass noodles is served with generous portion of seafood like prawns, clams, and mussels with it. The soup comes flavourful with the complete spiciness in it.

Why not, try Soi 19 for an exciting spicy-licious delights. It is indeed a great place for a bbq steamboat with families and friends.
