MAMAS KOREAN RESTAURANT @ SUNWAY GIZA

July 17, 2014 by StrawberrY Gal

Mamas Korean Restaurant is a place to go for in Sunway Giza for an authentic Korean delights. Located at the first floor in Sunway Giza just above Tokyo Kitchen; it is simply easy to find them. It is easier to turn in to the mall via the Public Bank side. The restaurant comes simple and yet impressively beautiful.

We started off with their homemade banchans add to the organic experiences where they had prepared without adding in MSG. The banchans which are being served are simply good with the variety of assortment includes the lady owner’s home made kimchi – it has just the right spicy. Not only that; they have a great selection of banchans that impress me too which includes Sweet pumpkin with red date. Sweet & appetizing!

Well the delicious items of their Complimentary steamed egg was perfect too. The complimentary steamed egg is so good with the fragrant eggy flavours in it.

We had the Seng Samgyeopsal (RM 40) where the fresh pork belly which is well marinated with their special sauce is being marinated till complete juiciness and the meat is simply tender too. Deliciously done. It comes well with the enoki mushroom, prawns, egg as well as huge oyster mushroom with it. Besides the pork belly taste good; I love the enoki mushroom which is being stir fried with the egg which creates a unique taste and it is simply delicious.

Besides that; we had the Pork Belly Marinated with Bulgogi Sauce where the generous portions of the marinated three layer pork are being served with the slice cabbage, sweet potatoes, scallions, onions and tteokbokki. The sauce which is being marinated into the chicken brings us with the light spiciness sauce but it s packed with sweet flavours and the taste is simply flavourful.

Aside, we do have the Bimbimbap with Earthware Pot (RM 20). The Bimbimbap is simply good where the bimbimbap which is filled with rice with mixed vegetables. The rice comes moist and top with the sunny egg on top.

The kimchi stew was very thick, flavorful and slightly spicy. Served together with the thick-cut pork belly in it which brings us with the delicious temptations. I enjoyed digging for the mouth-watering strips of thick-cut pork belly inside the stew

The Japchee (RM 35.00) is one of my favorites here. The Korean style of the glass noodles is well cook till perfection with the sautéed vegetables and slices of egg with it. The japchee comes pretty fragrant and appetizing where I can really enjoy the whole plate of Japchee till the fullest.

Overall, the food here is good and deliciously done. I love them so much which I can give double thumbs up on this.
