Café franchise and Colombian largest producer of Arabica coffee, Juan Valdez has recently opened its first store in Malaysia! The cafe which brings us to experience the 100 percent Colombian produced coffee.
We are spoilt again here with all the nice coffee. Dining here brings us to another comfort zone where there are plenty of rooms to go about for patrons to sit and mingle comfortably. The café carries a blended antique and modern interior design that’s contemporary and clean. Not only that, they have few styles of comfort sitting which indeed brings you a great enjoyment and relaxing space to mingle around with friends.
Juan Valdez offers us with the variety of hot and cold drinks which is brewed from their Colombian coffee. Juan Valdez Cafe offers four types of Columbian origins- Huila in medium/high acidity, medium body, soft and clean note; Cauca with pronounced aroma, medium body, silky sensation to the palate with sweet fruity note; Santander with pronounced, precised aroma, silky sensation to the palate with sweet fruity note; Antioquia which has an intense aroma, medium body and a herbal, fruity characteristic.
We witness how they made their coffee and by using the same coffee with a different approach, it definately comes with different flavour. One gives a smooth blend of coffee and another is more distinct taste of coffee instead.
If you prefer some milk base coffee, try their Classic Latte (RM12/9oz; RM14/12oz) where their latte comes pretty fragrant with the milk and coffee blend combine. Smooth texture of the coffee itself; the blend is pretty unique and each sip is such an indulgence.
Arequipe Latte (RM14/9oz; RM16/12oz) is another style of latte which is being presented. Made from sweetened milk, the latte lends a unique concontion and the coffee is more caramelized and sweeter.
Not much a coffee lover, why not try their Ice Blended Chocolate (RM16/12oz; RM18/16oz) instead. Beautifully presented to our table, we are really impress with the presentation. The thick, chocolaty and sweet blended drink is served over an adorable mug, crowned with light whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
Aside from coffee, Juan Valdez Cafe do serves some light bites, Some of them includes sandwiches, soup, tapas, salad, waffles, French toast, pancakes and bread. The heaviest dish you can find from the menu will be pasta and lasagna. Not exactly extensive, but still enough to cover breakfast, lunch and dinner.
If you love some light delights, do order their Egg Benedict (RM 17). Creamy texture of the egg benedict laid on top of the cut of sliced salmon. Each mouthful is sinfully delicious bringing you a great aroma of the eggy taste with the chewy bites of salmon that comes with it.
The salad (RM 28) is one of our favorites where it is generously laden with the luscious avacoado slices with the cheese, salmon and some greenies with it. Comes in myriad of colors and topped with the runny egges on top, it is indeed makes a healthy blend of salad which is much filling too.
Braseola Cheese Panini (RM 22.00) is where the dried beef is being served with rocket salad and cheese within. Hearty portion of Panini, we love the texture of the bread and it is simply gives a chewy bites. Delicious!
The Columbian Chicken Wrap (RM20.00) is a splendid delights to look for. Theu comes with great ingridients which includes capsicum, guacamole, red beans puree, cumin and lime marinated & grilled chicken wrapped on home made wrap. The chicken meat comes tenderlicious with the complete juiciness in it.
I am pampered with their desserts here. Much recommended and never leave Juan Valdez without trying their dessert. Almost Heaven (RM 12.00) comes perfectly with their soft and creamy texture and it is topped with honey syrup to give the light sweetness in it. Just awesome!
I love the Juan Valdez Mystery (RM14.00) where the nutty bites of desserts melts my heart where the nutty bites followed by the icy cold, vanilla fragrance and loaded with ice cream. Melts in the mouth, the Juan Valdez Mystery is indeed a great creation by Chef Natalie from Natelie Gourmet brings us much surprises.
We ended with the Lava Cake with Ice Cream (RM14.00) . Not alike the usual lava cake, the cake doesn’t comes alike those warm, and liquid chocolate oozing out from the centre of the cake; but the cake come moist. The cake comes so indulging with the moist texture and topped with the icing sugar on top and a sweet vanilla ice cream with it. It’s so good where we are so pampered with the indulgence.
Not forgetting one of the best macarons in town is available here. Chef Natalie’s macarons from Natalie Gourmet Studio’s never disappoint us with their macarons where it left us with moist texture not too sweet; choose them and paired them with your coffee here.
Coffee lovers may opt to purchase their merchandise from coffee beans to cup and more.
