Specializing in Taiwanese Delights, Lai Lai Casual Dining serves a variety of cuisine all the way from Taiwan. The restaurant is a joint venture between the Malaysian owner, who used to be the main chef of Lai Lai Casual Dining in Singapore, and its parent company, Lai Lai Casual Dining, Singapore. The main branch in Singapore has been very popular for its Taiwanese dishes.

Herbal Dang Gui Duck Soup (RM12.80) is one of the signature in Lai Lai Casual Dining too. The duck meat is being boiled for several ingridients like Dong Gui and also Chinese Herbs to bring us with the bittersweet aromatic delicies. Served in claypot to remain it warmness, the soup is perfect especcially during the cold rainy days. The lovely soup which is not only giving us lots of health benefits, it’s also well done with the soft and tender meat.

Century Egg Tofu (RM 6.80) comes in a cold plate where the tofu is being topped with the century egg on top as well as the pork floss and filled with the taiwanese special sauce ontop. Deliciously done and it is different from the usual tofu we had as it brings us with the cold and silky tofu. It is such a great appetizers to be enjoyed.

Braised Pork Rib Ramen (RM 13.80)is one of the highlights there. The deliciously made soup comes from the pork bones and chicken bones are being simmered for hours to create a flavorful taste. The rich and yet tasty delights comes well in the hearty bowl of soup. Freshly prepared from the kitchen, the delicious ramen is being topped with the generous amount of the braised pork ribs as well as candid egg with it with an additional charge of RM 1.50, black fungus, seaweed and spring onions. Stewed Beef Noodles (RM13.80) , one of the signature in Lai Lai Casual Dining where the soup comes flavorful with the blend of fragrance in its soup. The delicate taste that comes from the soup is sinfully addictive and its rich and tasty flavors in the soup do not disappoint us too. What more, you can enjoy your noodles with the soft, succulent and juicy meat too. The meat is so tender as it had been cooked for few hours before served and you can find the soup had infused into the meat itself. Thumbs up for the Stew Beef Noodles.

This is one of my favorite dishes- The Braised Pork Rice with Peanut (RM 15.90/set). The hearty dish originated from Taiwan is sinfully delicious where the pork is well braised and flavourful. Added with the braised peanuts and egg  ( with additional RM 1) with it, the dish is just awesome and I can just enjoy them without any sides too. Lovely and yet addictive. For the braised Pork Rice Set, it comes with a drink and a side dish with it.

If you love to try the dried version of noodles, do try their Herbal Pork Ribs Noodles (RM 13.80). The herbs taste is infused within and topped with the small pieces of pork ribs together. Bringing us the creamy and herbal taste, it is pretty unique to me with the slurpy noodles

The Fried Binjal with Pork Floss (RM7.80) is indeed a nice side dish to be enjoy. Crispy fried at the outside and inside is moist and juicy. When I grab a bite of it; it does not taste like fried binjal and it give me a special blend of taste. Topped with the pork floss had made the overall dish more flavouful.

Directly air flown from Taiwan, the Taiwan Vermicelli gives us the perfect blend of vermicelli compared to the local ones. With the selected toppings, the noodles are just perfect and it is such a good match with the ingredient itself. The dish comes in the set making the overall meal perfectly done. Delicious.

E-20140401-2282
Well, they do have some Taiwanese favorite too- The ala-carted dishes which is the Claypot 3 cup chicken with Basil Leave (RM 10.80). Being a fans of 3 cup chicken, I love the dish itself but it’s pity they served with all chicken meats where I prefer it would be chicken drumstick or thigh where the meat is not too gressy.

Fried Pig Intestine (RM 8.80)

E-20140401-2294
Passion Coconut Freeze (RM 6.80)

Red Bean Freeze (RM6.80)

Bubble Red Milk Tea with Pearl (RM 5.80)
