SANBANTO RESTAURANT, SS2 : LIGHT PORK MEAL FOR TEA TIME

December 2, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

Sanbanto Restaurant and Café is one of the places for pork lover. A decent café with the which is at SS2, along Jalan SS2/ 63 brings you to sample their tasty creations of quality meats. Sanbanto brings us not only their high grade pork.

E-20131119-22
Sanbanto not only a place for you to purchase the fresh high quality pork but you can also grab your fresh porky dishes as well.

And recently Sanbanto had released their new menu which is the Tea Time Menu. The choice of 6 types menu to choose, the tea time menu is served together with a cup of tea. Not too heavy, the tea time menu is indeed special and good.

Started with the Boiled Egg and ham & cheese open sandwich, the tea time portion is pretty a large one. The boiled egg cut into halfs and served together with the pickled cabbage, honey glazed ham and cheese on to the multigrain bread. The ham brings up the overall all taste and with the cheese ontop, it makes the meal even perfect to be dine.
Price: RM 13.90+

The pork taco is next. The crispy crunchy taco which is filled with the seasonal ground pork, topped with cheddar cheese. It is then being baked till golden brown and drizzled with the sour cream and balsamic reduction. The taco is well matched bring up the light saltish taste which is a great mix with the soury sauce in it.
Price: RM 13.90+

The Scrambled Egg and Cheese & Pocolina on Mini Croissant is one of my favorites. Well done delights where the Sanbanto pork made to taste like tuna is being stuffed in between the Mini Croissant which makes a perfect match. What more is the poco li na is being cooked in white wine and olive oil to enhance the overall taste and flavors too.
Price: RM 13.90+

Yakiniku Tortilla is where the juicy tender pork slices is being braisesd in the Yakiniku sauce and it is being deep fried with tortilla skin. The combination of crunchy and savory taste of the Yakiniku Tortilla is just perfect and it is fun to share the portion with friends too.
Price: RM 13.90+

We also had the Scrambled Egg, Spinach and Bacon Bits in a Basket which is also one of the signatures in Sanbanto. The crispy basket is filled with the spinach simmered in cream and bacon bits with the scrambled egg and parmesan cheese. The combination is special and the taste is filled with spinach in it which is not much my favorites as I do not like spinach though. If you are vege lover, you might fall in love with it.
Price: RM 13.90+

We ended with apple and pork tart where the fresh apple and pork tart is being cooked in the fragrant spcices and it is then being baked in a soft crust pastery. Sweet savory combination is something special to look for in Sanbanto. I love the soury sweety combination from the fresh apple baked as well as the savory taste of the cubes of pork inside. Something special to look forward.
