THE LOCAL’S FAVORITES KEE HEONG BAK KUT TEH, KLANG

October 5, 2013 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review 3 Comments

Kee Heong Bak Kut Teh is one of the well known bak kut teh in Klang. The Kee Heong Bak Kut Teh is recommended by one of our foodie friends who brings us there. Not in the famous side like Seng Huat and others, Kee Heong serves a good bak kut teh as well. The restaurant has it own groups of loyal fans though with the thick soup.

Kee Heong Bak Kut Teh version brings a more translucent, gelatinous quality, and the meat is meltingly tender. We ordered both the dry and the soup version to try off on the day . The soup bak kut teh is served with the thick soup brooth and plentiful of ingridients in the claypot. This includes, the innerds as well as the thick 3 layer pork which Is one of my favorites in it. Ingridients is perfectly enough and they are serving more to the meaty side. As for the soup, it is thick but it brings a slight oiliness which I found in the soup. Fragrant herbal taste is pretty good too.

As for the dry bak kut teh, it brings a like spiciness in it. Well mixed the thick black gravy with the chilies together, the dried bak kut teh always goes to the sweater side of the taste instead of the usual herbal taste. Overall, the taste is good too.

They could improve on having liquid soap in their toilets. I can’t imagine those who prepare food don’t wash their hands … Guess it adds to the ‘delicious thick taste’ =)p
    ‘yummy’
