MIKAN JAPANESE CUISINE, DAMANSARA PERDANA

May 6, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

Mikan Japanese Cuisine had never disappointed me and now they have moved from Maju Junction Mall to Damansara Perdana. The restaurant is well located next to Friendscino Restaurant and Bar (formerly known as Friendster Cafe). Well designed restaurant with the cozy environment and warm lights, it does gives us a romantic and cozy environment for a pleasant dining experience.

– Wasabi Tomato-

– Wasabi Tomato-

Wasabi Tomato is indeed a lovely appetizer to dine with.By using the Japanese tomatoes and tossed with the fresh herbs, the appetizer- Wasabi Tomato  is refreshing and each bites of the tomatoes are very juicy and delicious. It is served together with the combination of wasabi as well as their own made recipes which brings up the whole taste. What I love the most is where I could not even taste the wasabi taste in it at all which is a good thing. Being me, not a tomato lover, I am also falling in love with the dish after the first munch of the juicy tomato.

The salmon belly itself is also amazingly good with the fish fats with it which gives a more creamy texture. This is sinfully delicious and with each piece of the salmon, I can taste the freshness of it and what I can say, I am completely indulge with it so much.

Dragon Roll, another item which I fall in love with it. Each piece of sushi is well covered with the tempura flakes which give a crispy texture at the outside and the soft texture with the rice. It is crunchy in the mouth with the first bite and after adding in the sauce, it makes it simply a perfect match. The sauce is their home made sauce which enhancing the taste and it is just perfect.

Ebi Pan is awesome. Hot and crunchy snacks which made from the French baguette deep fried with shrimp paste, the taste is really good. Crunchy at the outside with the juicy shrimp paste in the inside does not disappoint me and I would love to have more.

Porky delights are another item to be highlighted in Mikan. The Braised Pork Belly is just fantastic where Mikan uses the premium pork “Sakura Pork” in their dish.
