BONDI JUNCTION, SETIA WALK

April 1, 2013 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review, Invited Review 1 Comment

Naming the restaurant by the name of Bondi Beach in Australia, Bondi Junction is indeed a captivating, thrilling and refreshing place to dine. Inspired by the cafes in Bondi Beach, New South Wales, Bondi Junction is a cozy restaurant nestled in the scenic Setia Walk mall serving authentic Mediterranean and Italian dishes besides Asian fusion, British, French and more. In Bondi Junction, you can get the dishes ranging from breaky, sandwiches, hot pot, lasagna, pasta, pizza and main to dessert tantalize your taste buds. I love the simple design and where the restaurant is splashed with the beach look which is simply colorful. It is located at the first floor where it is just above Ding Tea.

– Focaccia Bread with 4 dips-

One of the highlights in Bondi Juction is the Focaccia Bread with 4 dips where it is freshly baked from the oven. Enjoy our breads with the 4 dips which include sun-dried tomatoes, feta cheese, black olives and balsamic vinegar. The dough is well made with the fluffy texture and on top of it ,  you can find the black olives on it. The item is freshly made and it would be good to call them to pre-order so you would not be disappointed.

Mushroom Soup Served with Toast is well made with the thick rich and creamy fresh button mushroom. The mushroom soup is own blended where each spoonful of the soup is full with the textures and taste of the mushroom. It is then being garnished with a touch of cream on the top and served with the garlic bread with it. The overall taste is simply awesome and delicious. The mushroom soup is served together with 2 pcs of lightly toasted bread.

We also sampled the Roasted Pumpkin & Red Capsicum Soup. Well cooked and the soup is well made where the chef roasted the capsicum & pumpkin with herbs to exude aroma and then it is being cooked. The soup is simply thick and flavorful which I love about it as well.

– Chicken Cordon Bleu-

– Chicken Cordon Bleu-

Chicken Cordon Bleu is another item which is the signatures in the shop. The cullet of the chicken breast is well wrapped around with a slice of ham, melted cheese and it is then being topped with the brown sauce on it. The meal is being served together with salad and potato wedges. I am just fallingin love with the tender and yet juicy meat which is well served. Even though they are serving chicken breast, the texture is just so good which is not the greesy type as I expected.
Price: RM30.00

Roasted Salmon with Red Pesto where the fresh Norwegian salmon is being oven roasted with the special pesto sauce. The juicy salmon does well impressed me though and it is being served with the braised green and the grilled wages together with it. Every bite of the salmon are flavorful and it is sinfully good.

Bondi Special another item we sampled. The hand tossed pizza is being topped with the Basil pesto, olive, sun dried tomatoes, capsicum, beef pepperoni, egg, onion and mozzarella is simply delicious too. The hand made pizza is being served in square shape instead of round does look good too. The dough are prepared daily for pizza and made fresh by the chef. I love the pizza as well where each bite is flavorful with the scrumptious ingredients on top.
Price: RM 25.00

Chicken Lasagna is the next item which is being served. The chicken lasagna is well served on the plate where the layered pasta is being served together with chicken and with sauce. The delicious taste of the well layered lasagna is creamy and yet filling as well.

They also have the beef lasagna as well where the beef lasagna is being served with the minced beef in rich tomato sauce and white sauce. It is simply a great item to try there for beef lover.

If you are chicken lover, it would be great item to try off too. The Stuffed Seafood Chicken where the pan-seared chicken roulade stuffed with chopped seafood served with pistachio sauce, greens and grilled herbed potatoes. – Cream Brulee –

– Cream Brulee-

The meals are completed with sweet delights. Cream Brulee is certainly a great item to sample too besides the food. The rich custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel is not too sweet is what I am looking at. The custard are also smooth in the inside where it brings out the overall taste.
