RESTAURANT YU SHIFU, BANDAR PUTERI PUCHONG

March 22, 2013 by StrawberrY Gal

Located at Puchong, Yu Shifu is one of the restaurant which is worth to visit for a meal. The neighbourhood restaurant is filled with the delicious food does catch my heart over. The restaurant is well located at Bandar Puteri is simply a great place to sit down and enjoying my late lunch. The restaurant opened back in November 2012, it is simply a great place for a casual dining with families at the affordable price. The restaurant brings the speciality of their talapia fish where the talapia fish which is being used is breaded in seawater and not fresh water.

The talapia fish served with steamed in soy sauce, topped with shredded ginger is one of the signature here. The flaky fish texture without the muddy taste is simply tantalizing as well. The fish is well cooked with the fresh and sweet fish taste. Not only that, I am tempted with it so much with the light spiciness with the scrumptious ginger which is topped on top of it.

If you prefer for something not too spicy, you can have the talapia fish without the chilly on-top.

Deep-Fried Marinated Pork (南乳炸肉) is indeed a great choice of delights when you are in Yu Shifu. The well deep fried pork is being marinated and deep fried till golden brown does impress me though. It is simply crunchy at the outside with the juiciness and tender meat inside. A mouthwatering delights which is not missed at Yu Shifu.

– Marmite Pork Ribs-

Next, we had the Marmite Pork Ribs (妈蜜排骨). The well made dish with the marmite sauce and topped with the sesame on top. It is simply delicious where I can taste the lovely glazed thick marmite sauce on top of it. What I love the most about this is the sticky sweet marmite taste with the juicy tender meat in it.

– Tofu with Meat Toppings-

Tofu with Meat Topping (菜香豆腐) is another signature dish from Yu Shifu too. The silky and smooth taufu is well deep fried till crispiness at the outside while leaving the smooth and silky texture. Not only that, it is well combined with the fragrant minced meat and the taste is even more perfect.

-Kung Pao Squid-
-Kung Pao Squid-

The savory Kung Pao Squid (宫保鱿鱼) is well stir fried with dried chilly. It brings the hint of spiciness with the dried chillies which is being added into it. The blend of the spiciness in it really indulges my tastebuds and what’s more is the savory thick sauce which it can accompanied with the rice.

Kangkung with Sambal (马来风光) where the kangkung is well stir fried with the touch of spicy sambal with it. The dish does give a delighting fare where
Price: RM8(S) / RM10(M) / RM12(L)

A healthy dish to go for – Fried Eggs with Bittergourd (苦瓜炒蛋) is a combination of eggs and bittergourd and it is topped with fresh prawns on top.
Price: RM 10.00

Not to forget is the Mix Beans with Sambal (四大天王) which is one of the famous ordered item in most restaurant. The dish is accompanied with spicy sambal and 4 types of beans.
Price: RM10(S) / RM12(M) / RM15(L)

We are also being served with their signature drink which is the Golden Barley. Home cooked barley blended with pumpkin is something new which I had tried. A healthy combination of drinks which is not too sweet does impress me too. The well made barley drink with the combination of pumpkin is something worth to try out too in Yu Shifu
