KHENG PIN CAFÉ, GEORGETOWN

December 1, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

Kheng Pin Cafe is no longer any wonders for Penang people as it is one of the old shops around Penang Road. Old chairs and marble table can be found here too.

Wantan Mee is one of the dishes which we had ordered. The springy noodles are being served with minced chicken, wantan, mushroom and chunks of char siew is a well made wantan noodles. It taste good where I love the springy noodles which is being served.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 4.50

Penang Prawn Mee is nothing to shout about from Kheng Pin. It is being served with the tiny little prawns, chunks of minced chicken and egg. Topped with the chilly oil, the prawn mee can be slightly spicy but to me it is still below par on the spiciness.
Taste: 2/5
Price: RM 4.50

What is a Must here ? It will be the Lo Bak, which is a combination of a few fried items. I am always falling in love with fried items where here I usually get the prawn fritters, the lo bak and more and all of it is sinfully delicious. The loh bak was crispy on the outside and the meat was well marinated, tender and juicy.
Taste : 5/5
Price: RM 11.00 ( Depending what you order)

Char koay teow is a must always when I am back to Penang. I just love it as it is being served with a choice of duck egg as well as the squids, and prawns together with it.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 5.50

Address
80 Penang Road
Penang
(Kheng Pin Café is located in Penang city center, just a few minutes walk from Cititel Hotel. This Café is situated at the junction of Penang Road and Sri Bahari Road)

(At the end of Sri Bahari Road, few doors away from 7-11 Upper Penang Road)
