EDO ICHI JAPANESE RESTAURANT, FIRST SUBANG

November 23, 2012 by StrawberrY Gal

Edo Ichi is one of the Japanese restaurant which offers a completely new and a sophisticated twist on the traditional Japanese Izakaya style of eating and drinking. It is my first visit to the restaurant where the food is well designed to awe-inspiring creativity to the fine dining as well as bringing the beauty of Japanese cooking and meld it with nuances and surprising flavours of the West.In here, we are able to tried and authentic flavors of the east while respecting the traditions of Japanese on the past.

Why Edo Ichi. Edo literally translated “bay enterance” is a former name for the Japanese capital of Tokyo. It seat of power for the Tokugawa Shogunate which ruled Japan from 1603 to 1868. During this period, the city had grown to be one of the largest cities in the world and the home to an urban culture centred on the notion of a “floating world”. Hereby with this, the name of Edo Ichi had come up and being named after then. The restaurant of Edo Ichi is located at the Ground floor of the mall and it is well decorated with the ample seats outside for small groups and they do have private rooms too to cater for larger crowds as well.

It is well prepared with the fresh salmon fish which is well prepared with the authentic Kimchi paste. The salmon fish is being infused with the kimchi paste with it and it is then beings served to our likings. The dish had brings a slight spiciness with it which is a great catch and a great  mixture of the Korean and Japanese fare.
