GARDEN CAFÉ, JUSCO MID VALLEY

May 21, 2012 By StrawberrY Gal - Food Review 3 Comments

Every time we passed by Garden Cafe at the top floor of Mid Valley Jusco, we were attracted by the fragrance of the Asam Laksa. Garden Cafe serves a variety of local food such as Asam Laksa, Nasi Lemak, Nasi Pulut Ayam, Ipoh Curry Laksa and of course Tom Yam.

We had a try on their Asam Laksa which was very was nice, thick and fragrant. The asam laksa is garnish with cucumber, pineapple, chili, onion garnish and mint leave.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 6.90

Aside, we ordered the rendang chicken which was good, spicy and tasty. As for the sambal, we found it simply spicy and the taste is kinda good.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 8.90

Address:

Tried both laksa and rendang chicken! Me and my bf went there countless times, and we keep returning for more.

No doubt the asam laksa is the main attraction at Garden Cafe, as we walk thru the floor, you can smell the aroma from far away. I’ve worked in Mid Valley Megamall for almost 3 years & once a week I will drop by with my wife to enjoy it. But not until today, Sunday 13th Jan 2013. As we walk towards the cafe, we can’t smell the aroma of the asam laksa anymore, but that doesn’t stop us, we ordered 2 plates of laksa & we were very very very disappointed, the gravy is no longer thick, tasteless & there’s no fish to be seen. We stopped half-way & went & talked to the staff. They said they have change the chef & the fish was actually blended. We told them we don’t mind paying Rm7 if the quality is good & they told us, “if you don’t like it, you can lodge a complaint to the management, so far nobody has complaint except for the 2 of you..”.

If you don’t believe us, try & drop by again at The Garden Cafe & try it again for yourself.

    Cheers
