RETRO KITCHEN, SS2

Retro Kitchen brings you back to memories lane with their 50’s and 60’s deco, provides you a cozy and comfort place for coffee. The place is comfortably located above the 7-11 and it is at the same row of AmBank. Retro Kitchen is a place which you may enjoy your moments with friends and relative for a cup of coffee as well as having a classical music with the western fusion dine here. The place is simply nice place to enjoy the oldies and looking back on the 70s feel.

We started the meal with the starter where we are served with the Mushroom Brushetta. The Mushroom Brushetta is served in 5 pieces in a set and the meal comes with the crusty baguette with mix mushrooms and brown sauce. This is where the bruschetta topped with pan-fried mushrooms seasoned with sea salt, cracked black pepper and flat-leaf parsley. The taste is slightly spicy due to the black pepper.

Next,we had the Classic Chicken Chop which is where the chciekn fillets are being breaded and then being deep fried till golden brown. Then it is being topped with their homemade mushroom sauce, fries and coleslaw. The chicken meat is tender and the sauce is really creamy with a nice taste of the mushroom sauce.
Price: RM 13.00

Chicken Parmigiana is a where the chicken fillets are being breaded and deep fried till golden brown. Then, it is being topped with the tomato sauce, ham gratin of cheese, and served together with the fries and coleslaw. It is beautifully made with a heart shape with it.
Price: RM 18.00

If you are a Lamb Lover, you might fall in love with this. The NZ Lamb Chop is where the selection of lamb shoulder from New Zealand are being pan fried and baked till the meat is tender. Then the lamb is being served with their homemad sauce, mashed potatoes and sauté mix vegetables.
Price: RM 22.00

Lamb Shank is also one of their signature dishes where the lamb is being braised till the meat is tender and soft. Then it is being serbed with the mis vegetables as well as the mashed potatoes.
Price: RM 28.00

They also served the Linguine Duck with Mushroom, Coriander and cili padi ( Aglio Olio Style). This is where the succulent crispy duck served on aglio olio spaghetti tossed with olive oil and chili flakes which makes the dish with a slight spiciness. This is one of the signatures of the restaurant.
Price: RM 18.00

If you are mushroom lovers, you might fall in love with this- The Mix Mushroom Spaghetti with Basil Leaves and Olive Oil. This is where the mix mushrooms ar being cooked with the basil leaves and olive oil. The taste is good and it has a strong mushroom taste with it.
Price: RM 13.00

They aso have the Retro Trio’s Pizza which is the restaurant’s signature. The thin crust pizza is being served with three types of mushrooms which is the button mushrooms, shitake mushrooms and oyster mushrooms. It is also combine with 3 types of cheese to makes the pizza even more perfect. The cheese is really cheesy and it really taste great.

The last dish of the day will be the Retro’s Special Lamb Fried Rice which is having a slight spiciness with it. The Lamb Fried Rice is well fried with the minced lamb meat with it and served together with a Malays Papadam and a fried egg to comes with it.
Price: RM 11.00

We had our last sweet bites to complete the meal where we are served with the Sweet Trio Special which is going to be in the menu soon. The Sweet Trio Special is where there are combination of three mini desserts which is the Tiramisu, Walnut Brownies and Lime Crumble. The sweet bites are good to end the meal of the day.
