RESTAURANT HK TEA HOUSE, MC CALLISTER ROAD

The HK Tea House in Mc Callister Road is one of the popular place to have the Penang Food. The place is always packed with people and you can find a wide range of food there like Penang Prawn Mee, Asam Laksa and more

Steam Hor Fan is where the Hor Fan is being steamed together with seafood, a choice of fish or prawns. The hor fan is being steam together with sour plum, chilly padi, tomato, ginger and sprinkled with spring onions. They uses garupa fish served with egg. We still felt that the taste without egg wil be nicer as you can taste the pure taste of the soup and freshness of the fish.

Asam laksa is kinda sour with a lot of vegetables on it. Besides that, the portion is kinda big and the taste is nice.
Taste: 4/5
Price: RM 3.00

Prawn mee, is another famous delights in Penang. The prawn mee here is made using dried shrimps, plucked heads of prawns, white pepper, garlic and other spices. It is served with minced pork on it as well some small shrimps. The taste is quite nice but it is slightly oily.

Price: RM 4.00

Char koay teow here is well fried with adequate oil. It is not too oily as well as the spiciness is still there.
Taste: 3/5
Price: RM 4.00

Lo bak and yam puff. Nothing special as it just a normal simple meal.
Taste: 3/5
