GHEE HEANG TAU SAH PNEAH, PENANG

July 21, 2011 by StrawberrY Gal

What is A MUST when you are in Penang? Is tau sah pneah which is one of the favorites delights in Penang. Now days, there are many shops selling tau sah pneah and the list is real long.
One of the famous Tau Sah Pneah which is having the history of 150 years is Ghee Heang. Aside tau sah pneah, they also sells other speciality like Beh Teh Saw, Hneoh Pneah, Phong Pneah and many more. The tau sar pneah here is not halal.

The tau sah pneah are oven-backed biscuits rounds of flaky pastry filled with a sweet or savoury paste made from grounded green beans (tau sar). They also come in many flavours such as pandan, capuchino, samba, and more, but I still prefer the traditional one and Ghee Heang is one of my likes.
