Stir fried @ Kedai Makanan Chooi Huan, Teluk Intan

February 1, 2010 by StrawberrY Gal

Kedai Makanan Chooi Huan is one of the famous chu char ( stir-fried ) shop in Teluk Intan. Food there is consider a much more cheaper than in Penang or in Kuala Lumpur. This is my destination for food recommended by my dear.

The shop location is slightly hard to find but looking at the business, I can say this shop is famous among the locals for food. As my understanding from my beloved boyfriend’s family, this shop is normally packed up during the weekends and you need to be early in order to grab a place to sit. Some even go there for the srir-fried as early as 6 am

Curry fish is one of the order for this time. The curry fish smells nice with the authentic rempah and the taste of it is not like the Mamak style but it is more towards the sour type of curry and the fish is also very fresh.

Next dish will be the fried har ko which is a type of prawns. This is Jerry favorite. The har ko is well fried with black sauce and dried chilies. The taste of it is a bit spicy and crispy. Nice and delicious. Thumbs UP!!

We also ordered some vege as well. Vege as usual. Just a normal vege and this is eng zhai which we had ordered. Taste is nice as well.

Deep fried fish is one of the recommended one . The deep fried fish is simply authentic which is crispy until you can eat the bones as well.. Ha Ha.. Overall is a nice dinner

A nice and a thumb up dinner.

Taste: 5/5
Price: Affordable

Location :
Kedai Makanan Chooi Huan,
Teluk Intan, Perak
