Hop into the ‘World of Smooth’ with Carlsberg Smooth Draught

November 27, 2024 by StrawberrY Gal

Whether you’re catching up with friends, firing up the grill for a weekend barbecue, or winding down after a long day, Carlsberg Smooth Draught is your go-to for those effortlessly smooth moments and recently invited consumers to immerse themselves in a ‘World of Smooth’.

From 21 to 23 November 2024, over 4,000 Carlsberg Smooth Draught lovers stepped into a vibrant fusion of the smoothest beer, delicious, spicy bites, and the hottest beats at the Zhongshan Building, a hub of arts and culture in the heart of Kuala Lumpur. This immersive event also featured unique and engaging exhibitions as well as hands-on workshops.

“’Real Smooth’ is back for its third year, and we’ve raised the bar once again,” said Olga Pulyaeva, Marketing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia. “What began as an exclusive celebration of spicy food and smooth beer has grown into an event designed for all our consumers to enjoy. This year, we elevated it further with ‘Real Smooth’ beer, ‘Real Spicy’ bites, and the electrifying addition of ‘Real Beats’, making it bigger, bolder, and more exciting than ever.”

In collaboration with Loka Made, a local creative collective, Carlsberg Smooth Draught captivated beer lovers with a visually stunning and unforgettable experience at the ‘World of Smooth’. Visitors showcased their smoothest moves at the Smooth Grooves station to snag sleek Carlsberg Smooth Draught x Loka Made laptop sleeves. Beer lovers also took home Carlsberg Smooth Draught x Loka

Made tumblers with purchase and the ‘Smooth Moments’ station invited guests to strike their best poses—alone or with friends—to create personalised Carlsberg Smooth Draught bottles. Additionally, the first 300 beer lovers who joined the exciting ‘hops hunting’ adventure and collected all four hop stamps snagged themselves a limited-edition Carlsberg Smooth Draught x Loka Made tote bag. No Carlsberg Smooth Draught event would be complete without a mouthwatering selection of spicy culinary delights. Visitors indulged in a lineup of expertly curated dishes, such as Licky Chan’s Real Smooth ice cream infused with Carlsberg Smooth Draught, their bold and fiery Real Spicy ice cream, pizza infused with Carlsberg Smooth Draught as well as Tommy Le Baker’s irresistible Spicy Polo Buns.

Guests also savoured crowd favourites from popular eats like Na Jie China BBQ, Warung Babi Guling Jenny, and Yat Tong Noodle, ensuring a satisfying feast. As the excitement intensified, there were electrifying performances by international artists from Hong Kong, including 24Herbs and MC Yan, alongside local talents like Lapsap, Mr. Yang, and DJ Jovynn. Visitors also engaged in various workshops featuring activities such as Uncle Duck’s Cooking Show, exhibitions on Malaysian Cantonese culture, insightful talks about Hong Kong, and captivating screenings.

For Carlsberg Smooth Draught lovers, the CarlsBar offered an array of Real Smooth Mixology cocktail workshops. Consumers joined in the fun as they stirred, and sipped cocktails inspired by iconic Hong Kong movies, creating the perfect homage to the lively Canto-yay vibe.

“Through these vibrant and inviting collaborations, we’re delivering more than just a product—we’re curating holistic, immersive experiences that bring our consumers closer to the essence of ‘Real Smooth’ living,” Pulyaeva added.

Crafted for those seeking the ultimate smooth occasion, Carlsberg Smooth Draught is here to prove why it’s the smoothest beer out there—perfect for every #BestWithCarlsberg moment! And to encourage responsible drinking, RM10 Grab vouchers were up for grabs for visitors as part of Carlsberg Malaysia’s #CELEBRATERESPONSIBLY initiative. Of course, the celebration doesn’t end there. Fans of Carlsberg Smooth Draught can still look forward to ongoing promotions until the end of November. Purchasing two cans of Carlsberg Smooth Draught at super and hypermarkets, 99 Speedmart, or e-commerce sites gives consumers a chance to win limited-edition duffle bags. Buying two six-can packs instantly earns RM5 Touch ‘n Go e-wallet credit. At convenience stores and participating shops, buying two cans gets consumers one entry into the contest, or they can enjoy an RM1 discount on one big bottle (580ml) at coffee shops and eateries. In pubs and entertainment outlets, spending RM100 on Carlsberg Smooth Draught entitles consumers to redeem a limited-edition Carlsberg Smooth Draught x Loka Made sling bag.
